Don't underestimate the size of the shake up that's needed at the club this summer. It's absolutely time for Vardy to move on.

This is it exactly. Pointless making a knee jerk reaction now. There are structural changes that need making at the club before we start looking for a new manager. If there is a chance of a new DoF, they have to be able to get the manager they want in, otherwise we continue with an offset strategy. Whether RVN goes now or in 8 weeks time, makes very little difference. Same could be said about a manager. If you want a decent, ambitious manager then there are a whole heap of infrastructure problems that need sorting first, or at least be seen to be sorting. No self respecting, experienced manager would or should touch us with a barge pole.

Enzo would have struggled in the Premier League with the players at our disposal, especially playing the "Enzo way". You can't really compare the situation because playing in the Championship is night and day to playing in the Premier League.Would we have been better off if he had stayed? The answer is "Maybe". It definitely isn't "Definitely". Some managers are better than others, that's obvious, but the pond we're fishing in doesn't contain miracle workers. If we ship out RVN, we might get someone a bit better, we might get someone the same or worse, but to think that a new manager will solve all our issues and somehow change the long term direction of the club is naive. Nothing will change here until the hierarchy changes (and a good few players have been moved on). When there is a fresh philosophy at the club with clear ambition and a commitment to getting things right, that is the time to change the manager. Until then, it will be more of the same.

Honestly, there is no point in sacking him now because the hierarchy at the club is the same. If the hierarchy doesn't change we won't attract the right candidate and getting a big upgrade on RVN won't be possible. This club is a disaster zone right now. Simply replacing the manager immediately will solve NONE of the underlying problems we have at the club. The time for MAJOR changes in how the club is run is here. The manager (whoever that is) is just a cog in the machine. We need a new machine.

You could be right! I thought Ruud's comments were interesting yesterday around the January transfer window. It was plainly obvious that the squad needed strengthening but all of a sudden, maybe PSR related, the rug was pulled and improving the squad was put into the 'too difficult' box. From what Ruud said, it sounded like that was the moment the upper management of the club accepted relegation. In January!!! If that's the case, what's the plan? I can understand waiting until relegation is confirmed to put the plan into action, but this has been coming for months. Relegation hasn't simply fallen out of the sky. Planning for next season should have started in January, so let's see it now. This week, I would expect to start seeing the plan beginning to be actioned, but I agree - my fear is that nothing will happen.

Yeah, decent piece (and Carragher's comments post match yesterday). There are lots of big problems that need sorting out at the club. 1. Jon Rudkin - time to move on. Please let's close that particular chapter and get someone else in with some fresh ideas that can change the trajectory of the club. 2. Top - it's time now to state his intention. Either sell up or stay. For me, he'd be fine as a hands off owner which would mean he'd have to take a step back. One of the problems I believe is that Rudkin has either not been listened to, or has been overruled because he isn't trusted, either way it makes the DoF position an impossible one. Top either has to completely do away with the DoF position and do it himself (please, no) or completely take a step back and let the DoF get on with their job and hold them accountable (not sure he's capable of relinquishing that much control) or sell up and move on. 3. Recruitment - has been shockingly bad for too long. Put all talk of long contracts and big wages to one side - the technical ability and ambition levels of players brought in has generally been abysmal. Not every transfer will work out and most clubs probably get a 50/50 return, but we've had too many misses and too few hits over the last 4 years. Recruitment needs a complete overhaul. 4. Current squad - there are probably half a dozen players or so that really bring the group down. Either we sell them in the summer or terminate their contract. They've just got to go. I'd controversially go on to say that there's no point in even looking at the manager's position right now. Those four points need addressing for regime change to happen. Point 5 would be to look at the manager but if the other four points aren't addressed, any new manager would come in under the old regime and I fear it will be a case of rinse and repeat. All of these points are more important than the manager. Look at it another way, if we sack RVN now, we will go on to find a new manager and try to attract them into the utter shower that the club currently is. You won't get the quality manager that everyone wants. If points 1 and 2 are addressed by the end of the season, then it will be seen that some foundations are being laid for a major rebuild.

I had the weirdest dream the other night. Vardy signed for Ipswich Town on a free. For some reason I was somewhere around their training ground, exchanged a few pleasantries with their fans and saw Vardy sitting up at a bar on his own. I went over to him, sat down, introduced myself as a Leicester fan, thanked him for everything, offered to buy him a drink. He blanked me, ordered himself a drink, necked it and walked off. Not a word from him. Which I thought was a little rude. Never meet your heroes!

More likely to be here to say goodbye to RVN once relegation has been confirmed and give Rudkin an instruction to go get another manager until the end of the season. Also suspect that once relegation has been confirmed, he'll want to be around for an announcement on Jamie Vardy's future.

Taking a long term view, I've no issue with Leicester City playing in the Championship. What I do have an issue with is not fulfilling potential. Life is a mixture of opportunity and difficulty. Sometimes there's a little more difficulty than opportunity, sometimes there's more opportunity than difficulty. We were gifted a fantastic opportunity to cement our place in the top half of the Premier League for years to come but the upper management of this club made a series of poor decisions and when needing to act, they failed to do so. It's the worst combination... Don't do anything and when you do, get it wrong. I don't think we would ever have been a club competing for the league year in, year out but we should have been secure in our premier league status with a squad capable of good domestic cup runs and the odd European adventure here and there. Instead we are now getting relegated for the second time in three seasons. The situation we are in was completely avoidable.

Cricket really isn't my thing so I don't know what you're all on about. I have vague recollections of the team turning up drunk at Downing St or something after the Ashes but can't say it particularly gripped me. The drama of the final lap in Brazil for Hamilton's first championship was great, Andy Murray winning Wimbledon was super-special (an honourable mention to Emma Raducanu winning the US Open), the Rugby in 2003 was awesome (and I'm no rugby fan either). I think the rugby would have been more special if it wasn't played at 5am or whatever time it was. It's also the 40th anniversary of that final between Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor, although there won't be many that remember it, it is still talked about.

Forest will do a Leicester. Top 4 all season and then drop to 5th on the last day of the season. They just get that bit of luck that means 5th is good enough.

100% Rudkin has to go. He runs the football side of the club which is a disaster right now. He has caused the problems, not Ruud. Ruud might not be the answer but Rudkin has proven that he's not. Rudkin leaving will not change things overnight but Rudkin not leaving will change nothing for as long as he's here.

Clearly a relegation break clause. He knows it's coming, he'll be gone in a couple of weeks.

No way does Vardy get a pass. There needed to be a plan to replace him/phase him out at least three years ago. There wasn't and here we are. Tonight though, doing absolutely nothing puts you above Daka.

I'm probably one of Daka's bigger fans but OMG that was one of the worst first half performances I've ever seen from a professional footballer. Awful.

He's hated us since 2016. All season he was hoping and praying that we wouldn't win the league. There were comparisons at the time between us and the Norwich City team he was part of that went close in the 90's but fell away towards the end of the season. He couldn't bare it. Then Rodgers left his precious Celtic for us and he hated us even more.

I'd be on board with this. Would guarantee that we wouldn't go 7 games without scoring. But there it is - the players are too comfortable.

All this baby talk is frankly nonsense (assuming the baby is fit and healthy). If your chosen career in any field, not just football, sees you have the ambition to operate at the very top of the industry globally, in a hyper competitive role that a good proportion of the population would give their right arm to have the opportunity to do, then you have to make sacrifices. You can't just do whatever you want, you have to dedicate your life to your chosen trade. Harry Winks, I'm sure has dedicated a big portion of his life to be a Premier League footballer. I'm sure he'd say that he has made lots of sacrifices throughout his life but the fact is, that level of dedication has to remain - even with a baby. Some players can be footballer and father without any difficulty, others know that they won't be able to spend as much time as they or their partner might like them to in a family setting but I'm sorry, it comes with the territory. Ask any footballer who has a newborn, lives 100 miles away and plays in the National League if they would like a contract with a Premier League club (or even Championship) with the unwritten expectation that they may have to stay in a luxury hotel room once a week at the ground. I'd think that they would sign without a moment's hesitation 100 times out of 100. I don't know the exact reasons for RVN wanting him to stay over, but the mention of a 100 mile commute suggests to me that he is either turning up late, turning up tired or is itching to get away at the end of the day. Maybe all three. The reason really matters not. Nobody told Winks that he was not allowed to buy or rent a home closer to his workplace. The team is in a very poor state. It's terrible. There seems to be a certain level of laziness and lack of caring throughout the squad, which makes me sick. If RVN is trying to raise standards and sees this as a reasonable request to make, then I'm fully behind him.

I can't even be bothered to type a sarcastic "Buzzing for this" or "Must win!"
