Fatawu is a cheat code at this level.

Brilliant finish.

Is that a tactical substitution? At half time? What's going on?
-
Exactly this. I suspect their starting 11 will be largely Championship standard so not expecting an easy ride. They certainly lack depth and at full strength would be bottom half Championship. A win should be expected. A convincing win is possible, but nothing is guaranteed. As a side note, given the incoming points deduction, goal difference could be extremely important come the end of the season. Most teams will be licking their lips at the prospect of Sheff Weds at home, especially if they pick up some injuries. I'd hate for us to 'see out' a 2-0 win only to see the likes of Southampton and Ipswich hit them for 6, 7 or 8 later in the season.

Very good ball winner a few years ago but for an elite level midfielder, his passing has always been woeful. Still a little sad to see him go, nothing but love for the guy. I wish him well!

Daka unlucky there, pass from winks hit the toe of the defender, no time to adjust his body.
-
As back up to Daka and Ayew, I'm not against this.

I think it's pretty standard. They get up, have breakfast together, light training, tactics meeting, get to the ground nice and early etc. Not staying at a hotel might not be the end of the world, but it is a disruption to the preparation and could be a major distraction if there are unexpected delays. I feel for everyone associated with Wednesday right now. It's an utter disgrace.

How excited are you for the new season?
nnfox replied to daddylonglegs's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm very excited with the on-the-pitch prospects... Academy graduates, wingers, new manager, should be great to watch going forward. I'm not very excited with the off-the-pitch situation. There are still massive issues that need sorting out. -
Previous convictions absolutely can be adduced in evidence as 'bad character'. It's not common by any stretch, but the prosecution can apply to disclose prior convictions if they deem them relevant to the case. A judge has the final say on whether they can be allowed or not.

It's a good question and I don't know the answer. The impression I get though is that it is a very small circle at the top of our club. In all honesty, the guy needs help but I wonder if he might be one of those guys that thinks they can do it all on their own, or perhaps everything he's touched is such a mess, he feels he has to carry the load on his own because as soon as someone competent came in and uncovered the mess, he'd have to go.

Our big earners won't go anywhere because they're on the biggest contract they'll likely get. The most saleable assets are Mads and BEK. The whole world and his dog know we are desperate for cash and there's every chance we'll accept bargain bin prices in the final days of the window. To make good money, we need to sell academy products but the exciting youth coming through haven't really showcased their talents yet, which realistically leaves Casey, Hamza and Luke Thomas. They will be important for us this season and we'd be reluctant to sell. Didn't Sunderland offer £10m for one of them in January and we turned it down? If anyone comes in with £10m for any of those players we surely should sell and probably just bank the money.

Trying to stay calm right now. Feeling so excited waiting for something official from the club

I'm liking Cifuentes so far. Confident, knows what he wants, some clear direction. This is exactly the type of leadership we lacked last season. There's going to be ups and downs, but I have a good feeling about the trajectory.
-
Why can't we get him as well? Maybe a job share? Rohl could take the away games, Marti can have the home games and they can split the cup games? Sometimes I think I should write to Top and put my name in the hat for any DoF jobs that might come up!

I have a 16 year old. He can barely understand the implications of his decision making more than about 3 seconds into the future, and bases most of his decisions on information he received in the previous 3 seconds. There's no way I would give him the opportunity to vote in a GE. I'd say the same about his mates and his football team and they are, in the most part, all good, decent kids. But that's the thing, they are most definitely kids.
-
Don't really mind. Daka probably a good option.
-
He literally said "Hi" in his post! Why bother saying "Hi" in real life when you can do it online nowadays???
-
Sounds like there's a chance that this might actually happen. In all seriousness, I wouldn't be surprised if the club haven't dragged this out on purpose. This transfer window is going to be a very quiet one, certainly on the incoming front. We've had more than two weeks of fans getting worked up about the manager situation, we haven't really started moaning about the transfer situation. By the time MC is announced and off to Austria, there'll only be 3 weeks until the actual football starts.
-
Definitely today, or maybe some other day. It will definitely probably happen though.
-
I thought it would be an 8am announcement, but now thinking it'll be 9am.
-
Definitely think the number 9 shirt has to be earned rather than handed out.
-
No issue with him taking 100k per week from Forest on a 10 year contract and purposefully not adding to his goal tally.
-
Nobody to score goals? Only so much a manager can do with sub par forwards? Good job we have Daka as our main striker, everything will be fine.
-
I mean, in a car crash of a season where we had some of the worst performances in the last 10-15 years, we did manage to play well and beat one team 6-2, so yeah, pretty standard that we'd talk to that manager. Should have seen this coming!
