So we are poorly run when we overspend on players / wages but also poorly run when we significantly trim the wages and also spend cautiously
-
Dont understand whats upset him so much? Is it just he wants to be nearer to london? When he signed for us we were a championship club and we are again so he’ll be on the same wage etc he initally signed

Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)

Hes become a cult figure now id be gutted to see him go. In all honesty, he pisses this league -
We have Woyo baby, and Cover can be used as Cover

Hamza

Winks > Soumare
-
Hes had one good game for us and cos its the last one everyone is going mental, on big wages too big for his quality- sell him
-
He’ll soon get that coached out of him
-
I think the priority is keeping Fatawuu, id rather we signed no one and kept Fats rather than selling him and signing 2-3 players
-
Im not saying i agree with it. But as the saying goes be careful what you wish for. We (fans) have laid into the leadership for over-spending on wages etc but at the the time we were probably clambering for all the signings. I think we have made alot of mistakes and Rudkin should have gone long ago but at the end of the day most owners are clueless they just pump the money in (or not). What has really screwed us is FFP / PSR it is designed to screw clubs like us with smaller incomes and no room to grow once you make a few bad signings. Without PSR i think we would still we making some high profile signings. Whether thats a good or bad thing time will tell, maybe its a good thing for us with Rudkin at the wheel

I would imagine after we spent a fortune on transfer fees and wages, it then didnt go to plan so most of the fans blamed the board and slagged off Top immensely. He might have though f**k it why should we bother investing
-
His stats suggets hes decent player at this level, better than McAteer. But they wont sell for cheap surely

Even tho we are shite why would he go to Sunderland? Think it would be a bad kove for him, Matty Piper vibes. Stay another season or two here and he’ll have the big boys knocking 100%

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

30mill for him is fine, hes ok just think he’s a little overrated by many on here, and clearly been pushing for a week for ages. playing with BEK, Fatz and Mav is too attacking for alot of champ games and BDCR will be fine in this division He was always gonna leave, id prefer to keep Fatawuu and appears the club would rather also -
Fatawuu is pretty much our best player when fit, he has more credit in the bank than many so he gets a pass from me. I dont really think what he is saying is that bad its just honest and truthful. Most of the others tho (Faes, Winks) can pi55 off if they think the fans owe them anything. They need to get there head down and crack on getting paid a fortune and have the cheek to give it to fans, constantly push for moves, disrespectful to the club….. get on with it no other club wants you cos your feckin shite, we pay your wages so crack on and keep quiet And do what is expected of a PROFESSIONAL that gets paid to do a job

Is he part of the leadership group? Players need some discipline the cockwombles

MARTI…… Stop playing Vestergaard and Soumare please

Wrote something that AI sums up much better than I do, this is bascially us and will happen to teams like Villa, Forest soon… unfortuantely it’s inevitable….. It sounds like you’re describing the classic “post-success hangover” that happens to mid-to-upper-tier Premier League clubs who punch above their financial weight. The pattern is pretty familiar: Overachievement phase – A clever recruitment strategy, a tight-knit core of players, and maybe a bit of luck (injuries, other clubs underperforming) leads to a huge peak — winning the league or getting into Europe. Expectation inflation – Success raises the bar, and the club starts spending more on wages and transfers to stay at that level. But the revenue base (matchday, commercial, broadcast share) can’t match the true “big club” income streams. Recruitment misfires – The early signings (Maddison, Ricardo, Maguire in your case) hit big because the scouting was sharp and risk-taking paid off. But when replacements are rushed, overpriced, or don’t fit the manager’s style, the squad quality dips. Core player erosion – Losing two or three of the key spine players often triggers a downward spiral. The replacements rarely slot in seamlessly, especially if the market is inflated. Financial strain + regulation – Under the old FFP setup, clubs could sometimes fudge it with creative accounting. Now, with PSR (Profit & Sustainability Rules) actually enforced via points deductions, there’s less wriggle room, so clubs can’t just gamble on bouncing back in a season. You’re also right that Forest, Villa, Brighton could all be next if they can’t keep their “core” and maintain hit-rate recruitment. The difference for some of them might be: Villa have a wealthy owner willing to push PSR limits, but even they have started selling players to stay compliant. Brighton’s recruitment model is more sustainable than most, but it only takes a few bad windows for the system to falter. Forest are already walking a PSR tightrope. It’s less about “luck” alone and more about how hard it is to replace your core without overspending when you’re outside the financial elite. If you want, I can break down exactly why Leicester’s post-title trajectory matches the same curve as clubs like Blackburn in the 90s or even Portsmouth in the late 2000s — the pattern’s eerily similar.

Didnt have the best game but like McAteer just dont thinks hes good enouugh for this level. Thankfully Monga and Nelson are
-
Hes meant to be a DM haha

Ive never seen him have a good game for us. I genuinely think manahers look at what we paid for him and think ‘he must be decent’. We need to get ricardo back at RB and play hamza in the middle. Every time i see his name in the starting line up i quiver
