Come on man, it’s high level sport. It’s 30+ thousand people, all with opinions. It’s Rome. They want blood on the sand. Teams put to the sword. Enzo gets paid very well indeed, the players better still. Fans are allowed their foibles surely. I’m not yet ready to live in a sterile world where nobody can say or feel anything in case it offends someone with skin no thicker than rice paper. The whole point is, we are doing great, so is Enzo. Fans are allowed to voice their feelings, that’s ok. As a professional manager being given a golden opportunity at a good club it would seem, to me, a little churlish to threaten to quit over it.

I’m not offended at all. I find your dedication to this matter admirable - much like I find a dog savaging a bone with relentless enthusiasm fascinating. I am merely suggesting that I think most of us do know that we will be promoted - not speaking for everyone, just as you weren’t when you said that you though quite a number didn’t know or think this. That too would qualify as speaking for others. Easily done, no offence meant. Keep pointing it out. I will try to do better. Have you lost it today? Nobody minds a stone being thrown that’s fine. You’ve just been a bit over the top. This isn’t about our collective and multi viewpoint skins, it’s about Enzo’s. Nobody here has said they will quit supporting City because small aspects of our play are frustrating, to some. you’ve gone off topic. The issue at hand is what Enzo said because some fans were displaying frustration at aspects of our play. Someone needs to develop a thicker skin sure, but it’s not any of us.

Stretching massively. That in no way implies hate and you know it. Also debates are difficult if you don’t at least try and see what others are saying. This isn’t about root and branch change to a system that is working. The thrust of the slight criticism, and that’s all it is, is that we remain often too negative within the style being adopted. It’s there for everyone to see. So when that happens, and you’d have to be fairly daft to deny it happens, it causes irritation and some moaning. I think, after all these pages, that is the point, it’s just a little dissatisfaction with ‘some’ elements of our play. Perfectly reasonable, but, as usual, that’s frowned upon these days. Enzo coming out and saying what he did, which was aimed at the fans, was unnecessary and childish.

People have them. They’re often at odds with yours, mine. There are multiple drivers of said opinion. Often very difficult to understand. In this case not so much. As a team we are doing tremendously well. Watching it can be a bit flat and boring sometimes though. We often recycle when there are clear opportunities to be more progressive. We take our foot off the gas - Enzo said that himself. We become less fluid and attack minded at times when it is unwise or unnecessary. People see this and it frustrates them. It’s quite simple. It is also perfectly reasonable for people to have differing opinions. Doesn’t break the matrix. Enzo isn’t suddenly a knob because some fans question these aspects. He is doing very well with a very good team and squad at this level. It’s like some people think we can’t improve.

Not sure it’s whinging to see issues and point them out. We’re fans. We’re allowed to. On the whole it’s going great, but there are problems and people see that. You’ve got to have a bit of a thicker skin to be honest. Seems a bit childish.
