Yes... media training will produce a straight bat... but its then for the interviewer. Eg. To the response to the drinky question the interviewer could say..." but what does this say to our players or to other clubs who want to buy them...'don't worry about the contracts you have signed... if you want to go then we will not stand in your way'.... has this been thought through and do you suport it?" Now, I dont have a strong opinion on that example... but many fans do. The club doesn't agrue with us on ft. Bbc radio leicester is the only way to put the questions that we all ask in pubs all over the city .... but they are too scared

He will be with us by xmas... i can feel it
-
Has he done the subs at 60?
-
When things arent workin well king is often the whipping boy. Hes not my favourite player but i appreciate he tries to do what he is asked to do. King isn't the source of our problems
-
There were callers moaning about king... and i agee with u; king does everything he is asked to do... and i wouldnt expect shake to dis him. But the other questions are fair comment and stringer doesnt go near them. I too though we did welll today and could have gotten a point or more. But our supporters deserve a local media who can hold the club to account.... or am i dreaming?
-
I know.... i didnt list the questions to make a point..... other than we fans pay ro watch the games and rely on the bbc to ask the questions we'd like to see put... all these issues were aired on the phone in but stringer did ask any

Is Shakespeare the right man for the job?
foxinsocks replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
Not appleton... nige is in the wings -
The post match phone in raised some good questions. When stringer got the chance he could have asked shakey: Why didn't iborra start? You say the team are not positive enough... are you? Peoole are saying you're not up to it... what can you say to those people? Again you take albrighton off when you put slim on. .. is that sensible? Does nigels new job make your position weaker? Are we missing drinky.. why was he allowed to leave. .. whats you opinion on that decision? No one has asked the last question... why not ? How can we get better bbc coverage that is not kowtowing to the club?

I think he needs to sit with the sports psychologist and becone more positive in games. If so it could end well.... -
Is Slimani of premier league quality
foxinsocks replied to willie-bell-in-rothley's topic in Leicester City Forum
I have no idea.... but i sit and watch the performance every week.... i watch slimani gettimg pushed arround. The quote from vardy was from a program interview in our championship winning year Seriously i do believe that to be elite in any area like sport maths music etc you need to specially work to strech yourself to aquire the skills...fitness.. mindset of the elite. The book "peek" by anders eriksen shows that many teams train for team work or general skills ...or for this weeks match rather than setting time to have individuals work on their own improvement goals -
Is Slimani of premier league quality
foxinsocks replied to willie-bell-in-rothley's topic in Leicester City Forum
I dont doubt his work in the box. His positions are good. I do think it would be better both in and out of the box if he was stronger so he doesn't get pushed about. When vardy came to us he said he found he was up agaist strongest defenders he had ever encountered. He went to the gym and said it took a year. I loved that application. I wish slimani could make that progress. It's the fact that the other parts of his game are so good means that he should put in the effort to be more -

he is not strong enough to dice with pl defenders and this has been the case since he arrived - he is too easily pushed off the ball. he pulls out of tackles like his one on one with the lpool goalie last night. He has had a year to work in the gym and to address this issue - he has done nothing. I expect he has not done any training to address his poor passing either. If he was making progress with these things I would support him. Right now he is not PL quality - the worrying thing is he doesn't seem to be improved to become pl quality. If he won't help himself then why should we support him? he scored a great goal - but this can't paper over the cracks -

Me too. I think his first priority is to avoid the sack and so he wants to avoid a beating... this is why he didnt chase the game on sat and why he wanted to sit back against the arse -
agree - its a bit workman like. Drinky could spray it about a bit - nut that's not ndidi and james. I am desperate for iborra and silva to show some creativity and class.
-
I like matty james. But.... i eorry that his injury coukd reoccur. So while he is available i am keen for him to play. .. yet the club must ensure they have cover. Ps. He can be forceful going fwd. .. but he doesnt have drinkys range of passing (nor does ndidi). .. so i hope iborra or silva can be drinkys replacement or it will be a long season
-
We lost a key player.. his replacement is a gamble. I hope we dobt regret it. Liverpool dud a great job in keeping cortinho. I wish we had been resolute and clear
-
I think we need to send him out on loan- to stop shakey form putting on at every opportunity (- I think this is some deep seated freudian attachment issue of which shakey has no insight)

Riyad Mahrez - The great Artist
foxinsocks replied to The whole world smiles's topic in Leicester City Forum
Mahrez is a marvelous talent - I hope we keep him and I believe he would be better of here... he needs to accept the contract he signed in return for all the dosh and focus on his game (I have a list of things he needs to work on...) -

spurs players are all mentally scared. at night they lie awake think they are losers... and in the morning they wake and realize it is true - they are getting desperate... and with that they will never win anything. -

I was hoping chealsea would snap up hte ix and leave dd with us... -
Or he could be our paul madeley? You are right though. ..... yet despite cols misgivings i think dm would be his best roll. He needs to stop runners by keeping goal side and not being beaten. Dms are hard to find and worth more than cbs. He should be working with a mentor to develop the right skills and mindset
