Putting Your £ Where Your Mouth Is
foxinsocks replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I love going to the games. It is an escape from normal life. However the situation at lcfc is very frustrating... the owner seems unable to see how poor his servants are. (Imo he would appoint other idiots if forced to! ) Last night I was proud of the anti board and anti rudkin chants. That is how I feel too... soni join in. This is my chance to have my say. Anthony herlihy deserves to be dissed... how bad is fan engagement? This is on him. So I keep going... not coz I am happy... but to make it known... publically.. How unhappy we fans are. I pay my money... i have my say -
Every team that cones to the KP looks high energy. I can accept that some payers lack talent but I can't accept them not being fit
-
I don't think he will sell.... what he needs to do is change his advisors... this is a worry also... top is so naive and could go with any one.

He hasn't caused the mess.... but i don't think he can fix it. Has he lostvthe dressing room? Any intelligence? -
So many things wrong... ... we look unfit...why? ... no one challenges for a ball ...in the box no-one attacks the ball they just watch it bounce about ...no out ball beyond the wingers... they always play to feet. ... too many players who can't start for palace, fulham, spurs even wolves (why buy dross?) ...Goalie poor. ... it's over for vardy they all need sacking so we start again

The loss os Kasper was huge.

I still believe the trust should withdraw from the Fab
-
The fsa got bounced into it to...
-
I did meet with Ian last summer and urged him to withdraw the support of the trust to the proposed FAB (as this would also harm the fsa involvement) and i offered to go with him to the club to explain what was wrong. Primarily, the FAB is not a decision making group so the club had nothing to worry about. Further while we can all see NDAs might apply to commercially or legally sensitive material... (esp with ongoing disputes).. why should it apply to footballing matters? Orthe clubs position on ticketing, banning orders etc It got worse for the trust when at the last minute the club demanded more control.... yet the trust chose to swallow it
-
In its current form you are right. That's why we are asking for support to reform the trust
-
Not quite right. There were four seats up for grabs. One was Lynn wyeth's. The reform group chose to field three candidates so that we were not opposing lynne. There were no other candidates... frankly we expected one or two. Thus the three reform candidates were confirmed along side lynn. The reform group were happy so no need for dissent. Next time we will field more candidates...

Sorry, members have to aquire 1 share at par value... this is £1 It could be 1p... or the trust could allow folk not to pay it (they would owe the trust 1p). The trust has 45k in the bank
-
Last summer I met with Ian and urged him to walk away if the ckub would not back off. The ckub made things worse and the trust swallowed it. That was a pivotal moment. It was a big mistake. That was a moment to stand up to the club.... I am not sure the FAB could have been created without the club support.
-
I am with you. Frankly I would let people join for£1 for 25 years. (If it can be zero that would be best... there is a kefal share par argument... but I am sure we coukd get around this). We don't need miney we need members.

You suggest we do nothing? We are a few seats away from making the trust a more outspoken challenging force to call out the club ... this will happen... some of us are putting time into this reform... all we ask is support. Further, I believe that more fans will join the trust when it starts to speak out on the fan issues that matter. Join up abd support change... If it becomes a lost cause I will let you know.
-
It is the open and listening approach of king power. It should be called out
-
Guys you are both right... this is the problem we are trying to address. The club have groomed the trust who believe they are better not to antagonise the club. This approach has not worked... the club treat the trust and the fabs as fools. We want the trust to be outspoken and to speak the truth to the club ... to call them out and stop pussy footing around. To do this we must change the board of the trudt... and that needs members to join and vote. At worst the balance if power will be changed by this time next year... I wish it were sooner. So yes, by joining now you will get a certificate and the mushroom treatment... but you will be helping us make the change. I believe that once the trust has a leadership that challenges the club then more and more fans will join (as per @davieG post ) so that the trust cannot be ignored. This is the way forward and you can help reform the trust by signing up to the trust and emailing [email protected] Right now we are not mincing our words with the current trust board. When the trust is reformed we will hold the club to account. I promise.
