Mental that we essentially got Winks & Skipp for £10m + Maddison. Don't even think it would be in Rudkin's bottom 10 deals.
-
Was this a training ground injury? Can't remember him going off in a game?
-
With the exception of the Savinho goal against City I haven't felt he could've done any better with any of the goals. That's all you can realistically ask of him. He shouldn't be anywhere near the XI.
-
If you play FPL and aren't bringing Maddison in then I am unsure what is wrong with you.
-
I think people look at Buenonotte through rose tinted specs after a few decent games early in the season. He's been really poor recently. Having said that, we have 4 or 5 other PL players. They're just all either injured (Hermansen, Ricardo, Ndidi, Fatawu) or out of form (Winks). Wolves are also absolute pish without Cunha. Makes it even more disgraceful he was allowed to single handedly (Perhaps with a little help from our friend Danny) win them 6 points in December.
-
Literally anyone else is more capable of getting a surprise win. We've beaten the sides in 20th, 18th & 14th, and were lucky on all three occasions.
-
No but seriously at least he showed great aura when he beat a Steve Cooper side twice in two weeks as United boss. If it's enough for Jon, it's enough for me. He's obviously objectively doing a terrible job, but do think he's been unfortunate in a few matches. Just complete incompetence hiring him in the first place. Dyche wouldn't touch us with a barge pole but if we could get him in, I genuinely would. Sickening what this club has done to me.
-
Ipswich just look like a side that are coached properly. That could be enough to keep them up.
-
Fulham are so well coached that I simply cannot see them not beating us comfortably. Really unfortunate against West Ham to not win, let alone lose that game. They're better coached with better players. And yet here we are looking at it as a must win.

Comparing this season to 2014/15 Great Escape
daddylonglegs replied to tickler28's topic in Leicester City Forum
I actually think yesterday was the first time I felt reminiscent of that season. Palace were not the better team yesterday, we were competitive. But lost. That must've happened 10 times before we beat West Ham in that season. -
I don't think that a lot of the fans think about it that deeply. I think those that genuinely really care, most of the time will try and generate an understanding of 'why' it is that we're so crap and act accordingly. That makes up a decent % of the people on this forum. I think a very large % of our season ticket holders are almost casual fans. They're there to go along and watch the football without huge interest in the behind the scenes or wider context of the performance of the club. Sure, they want us to win... but I don't think we have a massively "invested" fan base on the whole.

We applauded at Fulham in '23, we applauded when we went down. Foxestalk is not representative of the emotion that the KP has.
-
He's more Demarai Gray than Harvey Barnes but he is far away from our biggest issue. I thought he had a couple of really good moments last night. Honestly if we had a striker who regularly made runs in behind, I think he'd benefit massively.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

I much prefer how we play under Ruud but realistically, all I want is to stay in the division & start again in the summer (Ambitious I know). So... Sean Dyche is available. Could we.... -

It is pointless making sensible comments like this when people are emotional though. The reality is you can look at it from your perspective (Someone who evidently watches the matches and draws conclusions beyond what the final score was) and from the perspective of someone who looks at the league table, nothing else. -

We had to try and build some momentum, i didn't mind him playing a strong side. Not resting *anyone* was bizarre, though. -

Unsure if this has been mentioned but the players looked absolutely exhausted after 35 minutes tonight. Wtf is that all about. -

It’s also the fact that people are so desperate to be right about the fact that Cooper should’ve been sacked, that they’ll defend Ruud regardless of performance or outcome. Again, Cooper was wrong for us. He would’ve got us relegated. Ruud will relegate us *unless* we sign 3 more defenders, a midfielder & a no. 9 between now and Jan 31st. (Good luck…) -

It’s this. All over the forum & all over social media you’ve got massive weirdos who cannot comprehend that Cooper was rubbish & not the answer for sure AND ruud also far behind. -

I’m fed up of these slow deaths we’ve had to endure over the last 6 years. Anyone with a pair of eyes could see we were chucking top 4 in 20 & 21, yet had to listen to a media narrative that we were dead certs for it. Same with relegation in 22/23, ‘too good to go down’… not if you watch the games. All three instances dragged out til the last game over the course of about 3-4 months of agony and this year will be no different as the sides above us are all pathetic too. -
The review was complete at the end of the 22/23 season. You can't seriously demand *another* review!?
-
I agree regarding the adverse comments. He's not half as bad as people are making him out to be, however I feel his ceiling is a lot higher than we currently are getting. In terms of being lucky to have him last year... hmmm. We were paying him £90,000 a week in the championship. We essentially did a player swap with Spurs via Maddison + £30m cash. Not sure there's much good luck on our account there.

Is there a defence for the CFO, Rudkin & Whelan to survive if we have failed (again)? I'm not sure how much longer fans can deal with a lack of accountability or consequence for the people running the club so dreadfully. If a deduction is imminent, the outcome cannot just be that the fans suffer the consequence. Heads have got to roll.

It would be so good if the socials posted a happy birthday tweet/post for him. Would perfectly sum up the relationship between club and fans.
