Comparing Ricardo at right back to Luke Thomas at left back is like comparing Kate Middleton to Bonnie Blue. Whoever turned down money from Hoffenheim and has given a new contract (TO 2029!!!) needs sacking. His attitude over the last five years I have on good authority is shocking. Anyone saying they agree with the new contract “on the right wage”, I assume means it’d be ok if he’s on £400 a week, not £40k?! He will have fashioned a career with the sole strength of being able to kick a ball left footed. He’s not good in the air, he’s not a good tackler, and looks and behaves on the pitch like a pre pubescent boy. Other than that, completely agree with the new contract.

This guys application and football ability is a joke. Made his debut for us over 5 years ago. I know many Boro and Blades fans that think he’s horrific too. The problem is not with the academy; it’s with the apparent reticence to sell off those not at the level (ie hamza, Thomas, McAteer)

We can’t criticise him because he’s from the academy and we are not allowed to do that

I’d sooner have a team full of very good premier league players from around the world than a team of football league standard players from Leicester and Leicestershire. “Local lads” often get a wide berth and another problem the club has created is giving massively inflated contracts to football league standard players like Choudhury, Thomas etc
