Obviously just a difference of opinion, but I thought Skipp was far from dog shit. We looked better going forward when he came on, collecting the ball, driving forward and playing forward passes. I feared the worst when he came on but thought he really impacted the game.

It's a good point re due diligence, although from experience of acting on football club sales a few times before, you'd never recommend rectification filings during the sale process as you know that eagle eyed fans and journalists are constantly monitoring Companies House filings and the club gets bombarded with questions every time a filing is made. This thread being a case in point.

Companies House rarely, if ever, take enforcement action over clerical filings like this. Someone may have just pointed out that the PSC test requires you to look through to the ultimate owner of the top corporate entity, which it looks like is Top. An overseas corporate like King Power ICL can't actually be a PSC under the rules, so they should never have been on the register... Pretty uneventful.

Definitely felt the same since the beginning of the final season of Rogers. That said I really enjoyed last season - yes we almost f'ked it at the end, and at times the football was slow, but at least it felt like we were trying to start again and we had a manager with a clear identity which the players had bought into. There finally seemed to be a connection growing back between fans and players. Unfortunately the Cooper appointment was completely underwhelming and the financial mismanagement off the pitch is amateur - we've got away with it on a technicality. It feels like we're back to square one and unless we trip into survival it could be a slippery slope, particularly with Vardy in his final years.

In normal times you could sit back and watch this with some popcorn as they self implode with either result, but when this has a pretty big impact on both Ukraine and the Middle East it's worrying how close it is.

Our current defence will not cope with the sustained gung ho attacking (I haven't watched them this season, so I'm assuming Ipswich have continued where they left off last season). I'm pretty confident we will concede at least 3. Feels like the end of the Rogers era where you go into a game with high hopes but know what's actually coming.

We have such a weird fan base. People frothing at the mouth in the match thread to point out this is the 11 fans wanted to start. Picking the 11 is the easy bit. Coaching week after week, having a plan, a style and tactics is the manager’s job, as is reacting to game situations. Over 9 games we haven’t seen any of it, our points having been very very fortunate (and that won’t wash over 38 games) and no one can tell me they have a clue what our plan is game to game. It’s weird to suggest this defeat proves he’s been doing it right until tonight. Compare what Nuno did with Forest at half time, and again at 3-1 to close out the game. On the other hand, Cooper thinks Soumare is the answer.
