A simple solution to get compliant in times like these would be to make players redundant like most other industries would do to their employees if they were struggling financially. One of the biggest issues is we're saddled with players earning huge wages, that we have no way of moving on, which makes it very difficult to do anything in retrospect about psr. So if we could get rid of some of them by paying legal redundancy, the problem goes away. It might also help to motivate a few to do more than they have been doing too. But it's just another perk in the life a top level pro footballer I guess, they can sit on their arses and contribute to a clubs decline without any penalty at all.

Season Ticket Renewal Deadline Shut
squidsworth replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Wasn't sure whether to renew, and didn't in the end. I'll still be going as a member, but at least if things are as toxic as this year I can stay at home and do something more enjoyable like give the cat tray a good clean and get those crusty dry splats off once and for all. -
Will be interesting to see... And how many of those become empty seats when we tank in the championship, realising the resell is useless as nobody will want to buy them. If that happens, I doubt we'll sell all of them at the end of next year, even if we somehow do this year.
-
Well I held my nerve and didn't renew. I'll go to a lot less games but will get a membership instead. At least I'll make good use of sky sports as well now. Maybe we need a final did you renew or not topic creating, to see how it looks now all is said and done. I'll find I was probably the only one not to renew in the end. ;-/

I can tell you now, the fanbase will start to shrink, if it hasn't already. For instance, the youngsters coming through just starting to get into football, will probably want to give supporting lcfc a miss, as it'll just cause them embarrassment. Then add to that the insane match day costs especially for families, there needs to be a big price reduction on match day ticket costs next year. Those of a certain age will remember struggling to anywhere near fill filbert street, I remember a time we could hardly muster 10k for many games. And that was when it was affordable to many more people. Year on year of stagnation and regression at the club eventually takes it toll in terms of support. As others say, it can already be seen with the struggle to fill the stadium now. Wasn't long ago they were turning their noses up at putting anything on general sale, now virtually every game makes it to general sale. Many away tickets are available to members, even after slashing the numbers available. If we have a average or bad year in the championship, it isn't going to get better anytime soon.

When will we next Score a goal!
squidsworth replied to DerbyshireFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Like we did for Forest that time, as soon as we have the ball (hopefully from the kick off so it's still 0-0, any later and we'll probably be 1 down anyway) we need to go down our half and score them a goal. Just so the players know what it feels like again for a ball to hit the back of the net from their own shot. Unfortunately you'll know it'll be down to daka to do the honours, he'll trip over his laces and the ball will go 60 yards backwards. Just like normal. -
Monday is bring a tomato to football day, it's confirmed. If you can't do that, please just come dressed as a clown.
-
Is it legal to take a tomato into a football ground? If so, I recommended we all bring one on Monday.
-
I've gone from wanting a goal, to a shot on target, to a shot off target, a corner, a free kick, and now, a touch in the opposition box. It doesn't get anymore miserable supporting a football team than that. What a joke our club is.
-
Too right, leave the crisps out of it. Crisp munching, beer guzzling, potty mouthed over the hill old gits like me, are not the problem here. Now those that come with a packed lunch from m&s, that's a different story.... That I can get on board with. :-)

It's an odd survey, it should be a survey for only those season ticket holders who oppose digital tickets and/or have an issue with them. Question number 2 in particular doesn't allow for anything other than a negative response..... So I can't complete the rest as none of question 2 responses are applicable to me. I'm not renewing, but it's nothing to do with digital tickets.

The T&C likely state they don't have to justify it. Which makes it all the more unfair, as like some have said, the justification for a ban maybe weak or completely erroneous, or even discriminatory. Obviously this relates to club bans, which is different to fbo which is upheld in the courts and a different kettle of fish.
-
Doubt SAR will get you much to be honest. These banning order decisions are probably in consultation with the club legal team and as such most interesting info likely considered 'privileged' and so can be withheld from any such requests. Probably the only real way through it is a legal challenge, but that probably costly and you may lose. So unless you got money to burn, or a large number get together in a class action, you're probably fooked on that front. Not sure if there is an ombudsman or such like for football banning orders, if not there should be so clubs don't get away with doing whatever they feel like. In a fair world there would be a way to challenge it, that was done by an independent body, and without financial duress to the recipient.

Even if you do renew, nothing to stop you waiting until near deadline day. Give them something to think about, at the very least.

Man city are 16-1 for relegation, so it's highly unlikely any points deduction will lead to a situation that gives us any sort of chance. Like others say, whilst it might be big, it'll not be big enough that there is any real chance of them being relegated. This season almost feels like it's been engineered to keep them up. Obviously in any other season the bottom three weren't so shite, it may have meant something.
-
Will you go to any more matches this season?
squidsworth replied to hejammy's topic in Leicester City Forum
Well I've paid for it, so yes I'll be going. A 🌭 and 🍺 and that's the most I'll be looking forward to. What happens in-between I don't give a shit anymore, as we're down with the biggest bunch of record breaking losers we could have ever had. Literally KP took us from the best to the worst. Shame. -
If RVN is our manager going into the championship, we're f**ed. He has to go tonight. Nothing else matters.
-
Yeah but, it starts with realising something hasn't worked. I want RVN gone now
-
I don't give a shit, I just want him gone. We're so bad, it's unbelievable. We can go down fighting, but there's none of that with him. Get him gone, or time a price is paid. Tomatoes anyone?
-
Get rid of this clown. It's at that matters now. History has been written, and he needs to go. As I said, no better time than right now after that shit show against his beloved club. I'd even accept cooper coming back for the last few.
-
Seriously I hope he loses his job tonight against his beloved manure. If not, time he gets some serious shite from now on in. We don't want this wannabe here
-
It's rubbish to say they never work. If you're a season ticket holder you should know exactly how they work as you've done it a gazillion times, week in week out. Once a season ticket is in the wallet, at least in Android, you don't need to do anything else. Just check before the games that the latest is showing. That's it. I've done it for 2 years now and only once had an issue, where it had disappeared from my wallet which was a tech issue (yes it can happen, but rarely). At the end of the day it's literally as simple as tapping a physical card every game, as long as you have a phone from the last decade, which I appreciate not every does. So as long as they make exceptions, this digital stuff is not an issue, stop being such dinosaurs (I'm 53 btw). Also I'm far less likely to lose it then a physical one, which is a bonus.
-
Well, we won't be premier league. And the match day prices are going to have to tumble big style in the championship, we're struggling to sell top games in the PL at current rates. So not sure how much value a price freeze represents. Of course we'll only know that well after the season ends and renewal has long since finished.

I'll be on holiday, arriving earlier in the day. I'm in two minds whether to kit out and watch with pride, only to be publicly ridiculed and feel ashamed for the rest of my stay, or watch anonymously pretending I'm neutral, or whether to bother at all and just enjoy the AI drinks and forget it's even on. I think I'll go for the last option.
