Marti would have spoken to each first team player individually asking if they want to stay at the club, if they said no, then see you later. Couldn’t care if you’re the best defender or not. I think this has played a huge role in Marti’s starting 11 too with Faes and Winks starting on the bench.

JJ is a strange one, if selling him means we get a replacement left back, then bank the money. If it doesn’t then I would rather he stays.

Anyone judging Marti already needs to give their head a wobble. All week we say if people don’t wanna be here then they shouldn’t be playing but then throw a strop when the likes of Winks or Faes aren’t starting. It’s clear they don’t want to be here so **** them! Marti’s got his hands tied behind his back currently and if anything I respect him for not giving in and just playing the best 11 instead he’s focusing on people that want to be here whether we like them players or not. Personally, I’m making no judgements until the window is closed. Even then he might need more time depending on how he gets backed.

When you actually sit back and think of the squad we have and Marti not wanting a big squad, I think we will only bring in 3 players. A box to box midfielder, Bilal’s replacement & a new striker. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Josh Brownhill, Joao Rego and Ivanovic. With the latter costing £10m and the other two costing nothing for this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if we sell Bilal £32m, JJ £7m and Hamza for £5m. That’ll leave us with raising £84m (book value profit of £63m) and transfer expenditure of £10m. Complete PSR reset year. Realistically we are probably going to replace Kasey With Bobby Reid. With regards to playing style they are both close to identical which goes to show how poor of a transfer BDCR was in the first place.

I forgot about BDCR yeah he will most likely replace Kasey sadly. I’ll be honest we need to find a way of moving Soumare on then get one in all 4 of the positions you’ve stated.

I think it’s too early in his development to be a regular rotational player personally. Just didn’t look ready for senior football yet as far as I’m concerned. As a 5th choice I agree, but in the championship and with the system we use, you need 4 wingers who are dangerous and consistent.

Agreed sell both. Jake Evans is your 5th choice winger.

After likely sales my somewhat realistic dream would be: - Left Back - Harry Amass (Loan) - Holding Midfielder - Pelle Mattsson or Charlie Savage £3m - Box to box midfielder - Besfort Zeneli £5m or Josh Brownhill - Attacking Midfielder - Finn Azaz £12m or Joao Rego (Loan with permanent option) - Right Winger - Rak-Sakyi (Loan with permanent option) - Striker - Mihailo Ivanovic £10m + £2/3m add ons. Would cost us anywhere from £13m - £30m dependent on which choice you make, but I do feel we need 6 more in for Marti’s system to work and a boy can dream.
