So the one down side with Marti, I would not be surprised if Ayew starts up front.
-
Fvcking hell nipped to Asda and now we’ve got Bo Svensson! I can’t keep up!!
-
Exactly, what happened this season is a question mark, but it’s important to remember he fine tuned everything with close to no money. I think a simplistic version of explaining to anyone that is interested on Marti’s style without going into too much detail is Liverpool under Arne Slot. Very very similar philosophies from an each position identity but also very solid defensively which shouldn’t be ignored.
-
Similar in philosophies, very different in terms of tempo. Marti like Enzo likes an inverted fullback to overload the middle and also like his wingers to stay wide to stretch the pitch with emphasis on the attacking midfielders to run in behind. However, possession of the ball was Enzo No.1 priority, his wingers didn’t make runs in behind to keep shape. Marti likes his wingers to run behind the full back looking for the through ball. If he is able to get in the same position 30 passes would create in one simple ball in behind then he’s happy. Movement behind the defenders and overloads are the key principles to his style. His tempo is a lot quicker than Enzo’s.

Very surprised to see quite a negative response to Martí, personally I’m very happy with the appointment. With the team he took over and the style he implemented with the same squad that was playing Ainsworth ball, they played quality attacking football. Fast paced attacking possession football. Obviously the majority wanted Rohl but Marti is a very good appointment who I think the fans will like very quickly.

The timing of Owynn’s tweet are odd. Especially mentioning Rohl after Dorsett said it’s not happening.

I mean the fact they knew anything in the first place is what intrigues me. -
Sacked by Christmas?
-
Tbh I take Dorsett’s word as well. The club clearly like him, they had him doing the whole Vardy farewell gig.
-
He played 4-2-3-1 last season, he dropped the 3-5-2.
-
that is true! Even his time with the senior squad though, didn’t care dropping big names for youth.

Fvcking hell says it all, he’s got the biggest mouth of them all. -
Interestingly Rohl isn’t represent by Wasserman if I’m correct? I wonder if there’s a mutual agreement that Leicester interview Wasserman managers to get their name out there, the agency looks like they are providing opportunities, when in reality we are after Rohl all along. Keeps all parties happy?
-
I think it’ll be Wilder, their selling pitch will be “Championship experience and historic promotions”. I would want Carsley, been preaching about him for a while now, ticks all the boxes, personally I couldn’t care if when he speaks it’s like watching paint dry, he plays good attractive football whilst prioritising youth development.
-
Do they have ties to Wasserman? Who knows where I got that link from in my head
-
Has he left then? As he previously worked for them?
-
I honestly think they send Wasserman some requirements for players or staff and get sent a shortlist back.
-
The only one good enough to start every week is Monga, even then he’s 15/16 years old you have to protect him and his body. I’m not including Nelson in this as he’s clearly a starter.
-
It’s pretty simple, Rudkin rimmed Rodgers, Rodger’s son works for Wasserman, Rudkin became dependent and trusts them based on relationship with Rodgers, Wasserman make a shit ton of money.
-
But Dyche is known for being a defensive minded manager?
-
While I hear you, I disagree. They’ll just take further loans out. They’ve already proven that’s their answer to wasted/lack of money. You say do I think they care, well Top already shown how disgruntled he was about the fans reaction towards him the first time we got relegated. It kills his ego and his pride. More to the point I go to support the lads not KP. Maybe it’s a personality trait but I would rather let them know my feelings than simply sit at home. Genuine question though, if fans stopped attending and the money stopped coming in and it led to a similar situation to Sheff Wed, would you rather that on the basis of KP out?

Would be very surprised by this. Maybe the agent wanting more money or years. He’s a Lutterworth lad and was absolutely brimming after the game having played his first game for the first team. He’s 16 years old, no 16 year old would have expected regular first team football. -
Why make them adapt when you can get someone to play to their strengths?
-
The hate for Dyche is the exact reasons I’ve just stated? He doesn’t fit our playing squad, he’s the complete opposite to everything we want, and he’s completely the opposite to the whole reason we moved to Seagrave. His appointment would take us back several years. You are right about the P’Boro game, I do think many people are getting carried away. However, you can’t ignore the fact that some academy lads out there looked just as good if not better than players that earning £40/£50k a week. Quality doesn’t lie regardless of who you’re playing against. With regards to Dyche’s iron fist, I’ll be honest this is one comment that’s doing my nut in (Not personal to you). There are so many available managers that I could list that expect such high standards and take no shit but also play attractive football. This theory that we have to accept a poor style of play to get some standards is complete nonsense. Literally within 5 seconds of thinking who else, you’ve got managers like Richie Wellens, Ange Postecoglu, Nuri Sahin, Ralph Hassenhuttl? All known for demanding high standards. People need to realise Dyche is known for his “Iron Fist” because he’s shit at everything else.

can’t answer my point can you lad. I’m not pissed with ya, we share the same feelings to the guys above us. My point I am making is presence within the ground and many other factors are the reason why people attend. Doesn’t make them gimps.
