Win something consistently and then you should be up for the award. Kind of feel the same way when people get awarded for being almost good - like if Gareth Southgate got knighted for not actually winning anything.

Not with EDF but they've been sending people 4 times a year to read a non-existing meter at my business for years. Countless calls and emails to them saying the meter doesn't exist and I've never had an account with them yet some poor sod on a 0 hours contract is dutifully sent out by EDF every quarter.

The Wellington (very close to Lyceum) is worth a look.

Those are all within 2 minutes of me - The Duke is definitely the pick of the bunch. On top of the ones mentioned, Queens Larder on Queen Square is worth a look and The Rugby Tavern is massively improved now they've got new people running it. (Perseverance does a very good pizza if you can get a table).

Why so convoluted?

Definitely. Got given a free ticket to see Widowspeak in 2017 and went with no real expectations. Seen them live a couple of times since and the've been brilliant each time.
