  1. This is the biggest difference between the two parties is that Labour now understand that they need to attract former tory voters in this and subsequent elecetions if they are to win and remain in power. The tories on the other hand only seem to have any interest in attracting their base. It will be intersting to see where they go after this election, but I only see them moving further to the right in the short to medium term. They will though after a few years in the wilderness though come to their senses, whether thats too late only time will tell.
  2. Its supply and demand that determins price, when tax is included in the price it has very little effect on the price to the consumer Thought you of all people would understand that.
  3. Lineker is not a BBC employee but works for them as a freelancer and will be subject to different rules. In any case Stringer was dismissed for not declaring the gift of a car, not for simply receiving such a gift.
  4. You can't really think that offering full time scholarships to at best 0.1% of our country countries childen does anything to reduce the elitism of these institutions. The Labour Party are using figures supplied by the Institute for Fiscal Stuies when assessing how much this policy will raise. So are not ignoring at all any probable knock on effect of this policy.
  5. I'd wager that the quality of state education would rise rapdly if the banning altogether of private schooling meant the rich and powrfull had to send their kids to the local comprehensive.
  6. They are rapid chargers (150KW) at Aldi in Hinckley, so most EV's will take no longer than 30 mins to go from 20% to 80% charge.
  7. The vast majority of people you are selling to though will have off street parking and can therefore make very large savings on their fuel costs. Whilst I obviousley cant comment on your personnal experience, it does not reflect the national picture where the latest figures show that EV sales continue to increase market share, all be it a a slower pace that previous years.
  8. Sorry but electricity is not the same price as either petrol or diesel, unless you are forced to use public charges. I've saved in excess of £2k in fuel costs since buying my Nero EV. The constant negative reporting in the press of EV is what is driving the current relatively poor take up, most of which is just lies, not helped by those selling them by the sounds of it.
  9. They won't, tickets will have to be collected in person close to the away venue an of hour or so before kick off.
  10. No it is not, it is a minority of idiots showing they have no respect either for other fans or the players. There was zero joy in that Man C invasion. Not against them, when they are a result of emotion spilling over when maybe a last mi ute winner has been scored or when the out is unknown until the very end, but all this talk in advance about having one takes all the joy out of it for eveyone except a tiny minority.
  11. I broadly agree, but for those of us who would not, given a proper choice, vote for a minority party, my vote woud be wasted under our achaic system. We supposadly invented democracy and helped to spread it around the world yet we are just about the only ones who continue to use FPTP.
  12. I really don't know who is to blame as I know about as much or as little of the inner workings of the club as you do. However if it's all Rudkins fault what the f*** is our fantastic CEO doing about it. Surely the buck stops at the Top one way or another.
  13. Rudkin was appointed DoF 6 minths before Pearson was sacked. So either Pearson did not have full control of football matters or he approved Rudkins appointment or more probably both. Interesting that you think Pearson should have got rid of the bloke that was responsible for signing the players that helped us to win the PL.
  14. That is just not true, Pearson was 1st team manager and would have only had direct line management for the 1st team squad and coaches. John Rudkin was and remains the Director of football and would have responsibility for all footballing matters at the club, with the possible exception of 1st Manager who I would think reports to the CEO as would Rudkin. Edit I doubt whether Sue Whelan would be able to dismiss either party without the say so of Top.
  15. You mean next season after Man C get relegated for breaches of FFP😉
  16. Suggest you put in a bid for the club then, I'm sure Top will listen to any reasonable offer to give up his controlling share.😚
  17. Bought mine after getting home from the Southampton game and it has just arrived. Still plenty of time, if not ring up the club and they will arrange for a duplicate for picking up at Deepdale.
  18. There is no formal waiting list. All members will be unvited to apply for a ballot for any STs that become available. Success in the ballot will be dependant on the home points gained. Or at least that's how its worked for the last 10 years or more.
  19. I'll be in the Rake at LB from about 5
  20. Can you not set up an account for the other person you are getting a ticket for?

Not wishing to frighton you, but friends of ours were due to move to Northumbrrland last year, all parties exchanged through the chain. Then on the day of completion the couple at rhe bottom broke up and refused to complete. An almost unique case I am assured by people I know who work in estate agencies but you can never count your chickens in the home moving game.
  22. The handball law seems little different to that of a foul, it is saying if you make yourself bigger by placing your arms away from the body then you are being carless with regards to the risk of the ball hitting your arm. Personally I like the law. On the other hand treating attackers different to defenders when it comes to handball is madness.
  23. It used to be what Government was for, but since 2010 we have only had governments who have seen their purpose as simply making money for them and their mates.
  24. Hope they try it for their FA Cup tie this week
  25. Don't worry you'll soon discover one pedal driving and love it.
