The funny thing about this game (it happened last series) is that a complete thicko can fluke their way to the final and then win even. I do think if Andrew doesn’t get too clever, has got a fantastic chance of winning.

Surely if you develop your own academy players, once they demand bigger salaries you'd eventually have to sell them to clubs who get more revenue? Which means it's not fair. While FFP is protection against going bust long term, it's also very much a stay in your lane.

I think as well we probably don't get Putin and his goals that well either. He's clearly a horrible man, but I suspect his aims now is to leave office in 5-10 years with a more favourable security situation for Russia even if it looks like that's backfired right now.

I disagree with this, Russia’s nuclear doctrine only allows first use of nuclear weapons when the existence of the state is at risk. Ukraine firing a few missiles into a border town is not that. If the US army were planning on marching into Moscow then you’d be looking at the nuclear risk. Likewise Pakistan aren’t going to use a nuclear weapon over a few missiles from its neighbour which are aimed at a terror group.

Wasn't that the case everywhere though? Interestingly Biden has kept inflation low in America compared to everywhere else. I liked your earlier comment about Biden having a good team despite his obvious senility. The Dem's on the day after the 2020 election really should've been trying to find a successor for 2024, I think someone even as average as Newsom would win as he would run rings around Trump.

Seems like Putin is gearing up to invade the baltics next, which are in NATO. Complaining that Russian speakers are being oppressed there. Nuclear Armageddon in the next 10 years I'd imagine.

The extremely confusing thing for me is that Trump achieved nothing in his four years as president which to me means people only want to vote for him on vibes. Like what did Trump actually do as president? Biden aside from disastrous Middle East policy has domestically reduced unemployment by a considerable amount and invoked the new new deal which has been fantastic for American infrastructure.

On the other hand, win it and it’s very hard to see Ipswich ever overtaking us. I actually think winning it would be far more impactful on the rest of the season than losing it.

Even if we struggle against the top teams, our record against the bottom half teams will carry us over the line from here. We’re simply too good for those teams based on our playing style.

As a snooker player yes, which I understand because their strengths are polar opposites. But Selby is a great bloke so I’d like to think it isn’t personal and this is why I find it a bit odd that he doesn’t have many friends amongst the players.
