Unfortunately the US is NATO. It’s not just tanks and ships, it’s satellites, intelligence and electronic warfare, all of which the US controls within NATO. Fortunately US generals know better and will talk the president out of anything too extreme.

It is very funny that in his ‘truth’ he talks about the US not controlling Greenland in apocalyptic terms then just slaps 10% tariffs on some European countries.
-
Yes you call his bluff like Xi, Modi and Lula do. The term ‘taco’ exists for a reason. Europe has to stay strong, united and call his bluff, otherwise we might as well pack it all in. He will move onto something else next week. He rarely follows through on anything remotely meaningful if anything at all.

Glasner moaning at the Palace hierarchy smells a bit Brendan to me. They are punching well above their weight and have done for a while and by that I mean, they can either offer Guehi, Mateta etc absurd wages that’ll put them in FFP trouble or sustain the model that has given them the stability that they currently have.
-
With Trump, you suck it up, make a deal to station more US bases on Greenland and keep it in Danish hands. All the dramatics are a side show, a 10% tariff is nothing.

He’s obviously poor but my disdain for Rodgers is 100x more still.

This is why you don’t risk youth.

Recommendations imposed from the cass review suggest otherwise

And Henderson was acquitted against all allegations of harassment, which says it all. Demonising and stripping rights from trans people because of some moral panic is a real issue I guess but I suppose that’s not the way the narrative has been shaped. That’s all I’ll say because I don’t want to get banned from this forum for defending trans people from becoming second class citizens.
-
What about transgender females using female changing rooms though like the article talks about?? by the way, this person had used these toilets for 5 years then suddenly around 2023 it became an issue for some members of staff, almost as if it was politically motivated.
-
I mean it’s not really that much of a big deal but is a highly politicised thing which has little impact on people’s day to day lives.

I think this guy inadvertently gives us good insight into the decline of this country. Essentially the ‘no other choice’ thing has been a thing since 2015 onwards. So in the 2019 it was “vote Boris, there’s no other choice”, 2024 “vote Labour, there’s no other choice”, now it’s “vote reform, there’s no other choice”. I don’t really know what I’m trying to say but I feel it centre’s around the people being disengaged participants in the political process. Not realising that it’s people that create change. People feel powerless and just constantly chasing something different but equally something that feels safe to them. Can people elaborate? This disenfranchisement is so profound.

Lindsey Graham I think may be the worst person in the world? He’s supposed to be a senator representing his constituents but seems to constantly tweeting and talking about bombing and regime change literally everywhere in the world. A proper unhinged weirdo.
-
It’s funny as well because she thought Trump toppling Maduro would put her in power but he seems to have taken a liking to the old deputy president who very much represents the existing status quo
-
This fella is an absolute ghoul, basically in tears because Trump decided bombing Iran again might be silly.

Drew away but got completely outplayed

He’s the one manager across that season that did genuinely out tactic Maresca. A lot of our other losses can be put down to crapping the bed but Hull had us on the ropes both times.

The way things are shaping up, I think there’s going to be a window of opportunity in 2028 for a leftist candidate (for their standard) in the states and then early/mid 30’s there will be a left revival in Western Europe. It cannot keep going on like this. Incidentally if you look at economic growth in Western Europe, Spain is clearly performing best and they have a leftist government although their employment stats, while improving, are still hilariously bad.

I’ve said before but at the next election, this country deserves a 5 way mess from the Greens on the left through to reform on the right. We need a horrible non majority looking parliament so we can actually get the political reform we need in this country. At the same time, Reform taking on people like Jenrick and Zahawi is terrible optics, failed toffs tainted by the Johnson Covid era and associated with the ‘Boris wave’. Farage has got this badly wrong by accepting them.

One of the problems with the Middle East is that it’s seen through a ‘countries’ lens when it’s wayyyyy more complicated than that. People are much more likely to identify by their religion, sect, ethnicity than their nationality and yet the powerful still use their power to impose the nation state model.

Weird that Sadiq Khan is probably the most effective Labour political operator, I suppose you could throw Burnham in there too. You’d think that would teach them that giving power away from Westminster might actually be a good thing but Starmer seems to be properly Westminster pilled.
-
Sorry Alf but my Auntie Pat from Blaby said this is a lie by the deep state ran by Sadiq Khan.

There won’t be a peace deal if the whole plan is to send British troops to Ukraine? Why would Putin ever agree to that?

Alonso gone from Madrid, we’d be mad not to try.
