  1. Team for Sat: Ayew Ayew Ayew Ayew Ayew Ayew Ayew Ayew Ayew Ayew Ayew subs: Ayew, Ayew, Ayew, Ayew, Ayew. Ayew, Ward
  2. Time has never stopped Foxestalk. Cooper has already got us relegated with less points than Derby… Cooper or Maresca to be sacked first is an interesting bet
  3. What I don’t know is how many of Ayew’s appearances last few seasons were subs. I can see him being able to replace any starter and provide a player who can help protect a lead by defending from the front / be an outlet for long balls / hold-up play. Quite indifferent whenever I saw him on MOTD but his type of role probably doesn’t make the highlights. Palace fans seem both rate his as a squad player but happy with the fee.
  4. He’s played in over 30 games the last 5 PL seasons. That’s for various Palace managers - he’s clearly seen as useful and seems to not get injured. High fee but he’ll do a job
  5. I get the signing (sort of) he is another player that will put a shift in and can play across the front 3. He’ll be in ahead of BDR when playing against better teams Fee seem high but if we stay up no one will care about add on. Zaha would have been a much more exciting player. Even Schlupp would have been a welcome return if all we are allowed to do is sign ex Crystal Palace players,
  6. Personally I’d rather play Justin on the left and Ricardo right but fairly happy with the 3 of them getting game time. Clearly has an engine which will be important this season.
  7. Fear not guys, Ward is on the bench
  8. This is what I think but we could have started Mavi and pushed him up front when you bring Vardy off.
  9. Ricardo on the bench!
  10. Winks to score one and set one up and hopefully cup his ears to the Spurs fans….. Or Ricardo to start, someone, possibly Maddison, to injure him (ACL) and then go on to lose 3-1. Possibly more excited about the line-up than the game and if Cooper will be in a tracksuit including trainers or not. I predict meltdown when the team is announced culminating in FoxesTalk going offline at some point due to ‘overwhelming inflood of moaning had overloaded systems - full reboot in process’
  11. I predict he will equally as good if not better than KDH. Seems a solid enough signing and will hopefully help drive the team forward on the counter.
  12. I don’t think the deals we have done have been that bad - we just haven’t done enough. BDR, Golding, Buonanotte, Okoli - sensible if not exciting. signing Abdul - great news contract for Alvez - great news contracts for Vardy, Vesty and Wilf - all quite understandable. 2 years might have been preferable Yes we’ve lost KDH but as soon as Chelsea bid that was going to happen. If Zaha and one of the strikers had come off, it’d be close to a good window so fine lines.
  13. Just keep Iverson if you want 3 keepers. Seems pointless waste of time to me
  14. Can we just plough up the pitch so no one can actually play football on it. It’d even things up at home at least. That or board up both goals to guarantee 0-0. Mavi to score, no idea as to the result
  15. Turkey and the UK have a double taxation treaty in place so he won’t be taxed twice on the same income. Sounds like his tax situation is pretty complicated (probably image rights etc paid into a separate company). We should pay for some appropriate tax advice (and assume we have). it’s not up to us to offset any loss in income, it’s up to us to make him an offer that we are comfortable with and it’s then up to him to take it or not
  16. He pays UK tax because he would be working and living in the UK. i suspect contractually he is employed by is allso
  17. He’ll smash the Championship….
  18. I’d play Ricardo in any system we play. RCB, RB, REB, CM. Stick him up top on Monday!
  19. I was speaking about this the other day. If we do go down and we have those players coming though, our Championship season should be exciting. Winks, Mads, Abdul, Mavi, Ndiddi probably our most saleable players. Vardy, Iverson, Ward possibly Soumane out of contract.
  20. Luton and Burnley nearly stayed up last season. The bottom 6 or so teams are not Real Madrid. Itt’ll be tough but I think we have enough to be defensively solid. Goals could be a problem but let’s see if we strengthen by the close of the window. at the very least if we do go down, the player contracts are likely to be much better shape.
  21. Paying PL wages in the Prem is fine if they play (I.e. are PL players) and we have good relegation release clauses. Tielemans, Madders, Vardy etc were paid well but were good players. It’s overpaying players that barely make the starting 16 that was a massive mistake.
  22. We complain when we overpay and complain when we don’t get it done. we are interested in a few midfielders so I think we can negotiate from a position of relative strength
  23. We are 2 years past peak contracts with a lot of players gone. Hopefully lessons have been learnt and bar an ever smaller amount of ‘legacy’ contracts we are in much better shape financially. i think Kristianson will play this season. Thomas, Iverson, Nelson and Wanya won’t be on big wages so as much as anything moves benefit their career as much as our finances, One of Coady or Souttar, Soumane are the squad players I’d want to move on to create funds, Ward yes but that will never happen,
  24. Don’t really mind if European teams couldn’t compete on wages. That’s the PL tax all teams pay.
  25. We’ve signed two players for not that much and offered Vestegard a 3 year deal. KDH was sold because we had to, it’s not inspiring but pretty solid. I wanted a squad with a bit to prove and I think we’ll have that or will do
