  1. If both teams could lose, I’d chalk that down as the result. i’d be nice to see Vardy on the scoresheet.
  2. He’s got an absolute dogs dinner of a defence in front of him. While I’ve no idea if he’ll make it a champions league club, I can see someone bidding for him. we’ll actually make some money on him which makes him one of the better signings in the last 3 or so years.
  3. Surely any payout steps down if we are relegated. At the very least his wages as with players presumably fall once we are in the Championship so buying out his contract is reduced. if not Call RVNs bluff, if he won’t walk then set the target for next season as one of rebuild. promise him no transfer budget with decent fees accepted for any player. Only loans in. it also has the added benefit of not giving Rudkin money to waste.
  4. All depends on compensation and how much smaller it is now we are down. As others have said some of the non-coaching staff should also do the honourable thing and walk.
  5. Let’s hope we’ve at least learnt our lesson and have some hefty relegation wage reductions, Lots of players with one year left, I suspect we can get rid of fair few of them. Will be a fair few loans out never to be seen again
  6. Bring back hosiery, coal mining and shoe making!
  7. Lose today and it’s done. The positive about reaching the nadir of the season is that the great rebuild can finally begin. Make Leicester Great Again!
  8. If Ruud is only not being sacked due to some compensation before it’s mathematically certain then this could be his last game in charge. Wolves and West Ham could do us a favour and he may be gone and 30 mins before kick-off…
  9. You all know the 1st game next season will line up something like this. Stolarcryk Justin Vesty Coady Thomas Winks Skipp BDR Mcateer Mavi Daka
  10. We have a lot of players with 12 months left, it’s focusing on moving a lot of that dross on. the benefit of 12 months and us being relegated is at least clubs know that we’ll likely accept low fees for that lot. I’d be happy with a young loan striker from one of the big teams perhaps part of the Mads sale or a bit of goodwill for Monga. It’ll be interesting to see what happens to Ricky P as him and Abdul haven’t been tarnished by this season but both are saleable.
  11. Watched the 1997 league cup semi final vs. Wimbledon highlights after the game to cheer me up. The mentality of the team and the manager was so so different. Both newly promoted but the comparison stops there.
  12. I wouldn’t sack him but tell him that the plan is to clear out as much of the squad as possible over the next two years and bring through the youth and in a few loans. li’m fairly sure he walks when he is told that. I’m all about the 26-27 season
  13. It’s a bit who blinks first in terms of us saving money not sacking him and RVN walking to try and save his reputation. In any case the key is the clear out. I don’t even mind sitting mid table next year if there is a proper plan to get rid of 80% of the current squad and play some of the youth.
  14. Load up the CBs I say get them all in. i want 1 striker in and about 15 player out.
  15. I get why you don’t want to explicitly market shared season tickets but I can’t be alone in living a few hours from Leicester with a family and plenty of competing commitments. i’d love to attend say half our games but know I won’t bother if I have to buy them at general sale prices. Personally I’d be doing all I could to encourage fans to continue to go next season. It’ll hit home when we are hovering around mid-table and the club are expecting fans to pay £40 to watch us play say Bristol City.
  16. Moderately marketable so will likely be sold. Will be low balled by Europe but probably have to suck that one up.
  17. Interesting to see if he walks at the end of the season. I suspect he will as unless Rudkin can move about 15-20 players on, we’ll have another season with most of this squad before the big rebuild. in hindsight not getting promoted and being forced to clear the squad would have been a blessing in disguise. I’d almost welcome a transfer ban at this point to stop us wasting money
  18. I agree with most of your squad. Missed Souttar at CB. just can’t see who buys BDR or Ayew. We also won’t release Faes and Vesty for free. It’s the sales that worry me outside of Mads, Ndiddi, possibly McAteer and Soumane.
  19. Not tainted by this season so that’s a massive plus. same as Nelson. lets hope we can find new homes for Faes, Vesty and Coady.
  20. Will he walk or be pushed and will it be now or once we are mathematically down. Feels destined to be Andy King at some point. i don’t blame him for quality of the squad but his record is still appalling - i think in PL played 15, 2 wins, 1 draw and 12 defeats. 0.47 points per game. If he has a vision for the rebuild then at some point he needs to demonstrate some of it.
  21. Danny Ward pulls off a string of amazing saves then goes on a sweeper-keeper salvo and smashes the ball into the top corner 1-0 win Ayew, Vardy and BDR run around ineffectually for about 70 mins or so before being hooked.
  22. Just try something different, anything really. 3 at the back 2 up front play some of the youth play a low block and counter but don’t play Danny Ward
  23. It’s top to bottom awful, Owners, CEO, DoF, Manager, players. it reminds me of the mad dog / Holloway period in terms of apathy. Micky Adam’s PL team had more about them than this team.
  24. Keep Brentford guessing. They would have assumed we’d switch it up. RVNs masterstroke is to not switch it up. Genius. When any of our front 3 fall over it could equally be a dive or an actual heart attack.
  25. Surprised he hasn’t binned it off to try and save his ‘elite’ reputation. Next season we will rightly be on the the favourites to return. While we moan our squad is poor, and it is, this is relative to the PL. even with a number of sales we should be competitive. The test for RVN will be spending wisely and improving the mentality of the team. A poor start next season and he’ll go the way of Lampard and Gerrard.
