Yeh he wasn't but think he had gone a bit stale here and in the last year of his contract, getting £10m was decent business. As you said though, not replacing him has proven to be a problem. I dont think anyone expected Kristiansen to be constantly injured/shit though which hasn't helped. Having Ricardo as our only decent right back was also a poor decision.

Whilst I agree with you, I can't wait to see the back of Winks and Faes, even if they don't get replaced. I mean they don't actually need replacing as they dont play now and both mentally checked out a long time ago.

I have in previous seasons often said to prioritise the league over the cup but that's when we've had something to play for. Promotion to the prem. Relegation battle in the prem. Fighting for european places. This season we're playing for mid table. We're absolutely shite, but even with a points deduction, we're not getting relegated. Marti is crap, but hes got enough about him to lose a couple, then win a couple, hence why his job isnt in danger, because we haven't and aren't likely, going to go on a huge run without winning. A cup run generates cash and could also regenerate some interest from many of our fanbase who are finding it very difficult to get excited about anything leicester at the moment. Also add in the fact that Southampton are absolutely shite and haven't kicked on after their initial new manager bounce when they beat us.

Sad state of affairs when we'd rather focus on avoiding relegation from the championship than an fa cup run.

I totally get that when we were in the prem, sths and members get priority but after that, any tickets left should be on general sale. How are we supposed to get new, younger fans into LCFC if they can't even get a ticket. The club has got so many things wrong over the past few years and the ticketing being one of the main ones. I've never been a sth as its not possible for me with work and the fact I live in the north West, but up until last season (excluding covid) I've been to games every single season since 1997, but now the club has made me lose all interest in going. A combination of the ticketing mess, and such a poor, under performing squad, i just don't feel like wasting my time and money.

Yeh its ridiculous mate. The Top fans just won't accept any kind of negativity towards the club. We've had games with bad weather etc before and never seen them kind of crowds. Guarantee that if this was done again but when the weather is better, it might not be as low as the WBA game but would still be a noticeably low crowd. Hopefully people keep doing it amd eventually Top remembers that he is our owner and stops titting around with horses!

Yeh I really dont rate Gordon. Also says alot about their respective personalities, that Howe has said that Barnes doesn't mind playing on the right but Gordon doesn't want to.

This is what baffles me. I understand sth's have paid so they aren't going to do a long term boycott but I can't understand anyone buying general sale tickets. I stopped buying them when the club started fcking around saying you couldn't buy tickets if you didnt have a membership. I've got 20 years of booking history, why the frig do i need a membership. As soon as they realised attendances were dropping, I started getting emails saying I could buy tickets again on general sale. Nah you're alright thanks, I'll wait until the club is competently run thanks.

Why is it worrying? It's exactly what needs to happen and it would be great if it continued to happen so change can happen at the club.

I dont think we've ever struggled to get good fees for our better players, we've always just struggled to shift lesser players.

Some bang average players have gone for more or similar amounts. Brennan Johnson is very average in my opinion and Fatawu has a much higher ceiling.

Yeh all sadly true. He really does just need to hire competent people at every level and just leave Rudkin feeding the horses. If he continues to put all his faith and trust in Rudkin when it comes to decision making at the club then we will never get out of the downward spiral we are in.

All true. Problem we have with the recruitment of the roles you mentioned, similar to the recruitment of players, we have no money and anyone decent within football can see what a shambles the club is, so most likely wouldn't come here. Our only hope would be to take a punt on someone from a league 1/2 club that has done well. The other issue is that Top seems completely absent at the moment, so what is he actually doing for the club right now? Is he actively looking for recruitments for these roles? Is he leaving it all to his lapdog Rudkin? I just dont see how he can turn this around, in the 7 years since his dad passed we seem to be getting progressively worse in every aspect and I don't see that changing unless he sells up.

I reckon he probably goes on holiday from June to September and then the whole of January.

This is why I wasn't against the idea of Antonio (before he got injured) as he may not have scored a load of goals but his experience and movement would have given opposition defenders something to think about and potentially free up a bit more space for the wingers. Most teams known they can double or triple up on our wingers as out strikers offer no threat at all.
