Players were brilliant tonight and looked confident even though we were holding in for long periods. Mads, Ndidi and Bilal all brilliant but good performances all round. Daka was great when he came on and worked his socks off. Fully deserved that goal and what a goal it was!

Magnificent Patson. He's been great since he came on. Not stopped running and his pressing of their defenders has given us a huge lift. Really hope RVN can get the best out of him as he's a likeable guy and there is a player in there somewhere

We're hanging on and West Ham have had some chances but I do feel as though the players look they have a bit more confidence. In most games recently, the players seem like they've had no belief they can get anything but tonight, despite West Ham being on top, they actually look like they think they can get something.

Can't stand Lennon. He was a decent player for us but as a manager and a pundit, he's absolutely dreadful. His lack of insight will be a huge reason why he's not been a successful football manager, and I don't include his time at Celtic as anyone could have won that league without Rangers.

Actually looking forward to this game for the first time in a while. Whilst we need to win, I'm more bothered about us putting up more of a fight and actually trying to attack rather than the utter garbage we've seen so far this season. I know RVN won't be able to change much so soon, but just seeing any sort of positive performance would be nice and give us something to build on.

This is a game we've got to win as the amount of "winnable games", especially at home is getting smaller and smaller. West Ham are as defensively woeful as we are but they can score goals, like us. With that in mind I can see either a 2-2 or 3-2 defeat. Ruud won't be able to do much with this lot and certainly not in the next 48 hours before the game.

Yeh its actually unfair on Mads playing in this team, our defence is genuinely one of the worst I've ever seen at this level. Not one of the defenders in our squad are actually good enough and the midfield isn't much better.

We could have primer Shearer and Henry out there, wouldn't make a shite of difference with our midfield and defence

I honestly think Simpson, Morgan, Huth and Fuchs in their current state of retirement would still be miles better than this lot. Absolute embarrassment this lot and as much as I didn't want Cooper, even prime Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn't get anything out of this lot!

They are a mid table side. We don't expect to beat them necessarily but we also shouldn't be having our arses handed to us by them. As has often been the case this season, the scoreline is close but we are horrid and could easily be 4 or 5 down.

Whilst Brentford have a very good home record, they are a bang average side but we're making them look like peak Barce. Feel sorry for Ruud as this lot are absolutely fcking useless!

Love this thread. Been going since 2012 with huge gaps of inactivity when everything goes to shit, which is always does at some point at LCFC. The roller coaster ride continues. Safe to say its not boring being an LCFC fan, just often extremely frustrating

Good points, especially after what happened at PSV. If he was to walk out on us next summer like he did at PSV because he hasn't been given what he wanted, then it wouldn't look good for his reputation, so I'm sure he'll want concrete assurances that he'll be given what he needs to succeed here.
