After the "announcement soon" post earlier, if the announcement is Ayew, I'm burning down the stadium! This club can get to fck. But, hopefully it's not true and I can put the petrol back in the shed.

Doughty would be perfect but think he'd be out of our reach financially.

League One & Two - 2024/25 season

Hilarious to see Birmingham losing when their fans have been banging on how they will be the best team to ever play in league 1. -
Stick ward up front. Whenever he plays he causes all sorts of problems for our defence so by logic, stick him up the other end and he could cause problems for the opposition defence. Absolute masterclass

Competition: How many shots will we have against Tottenham?

-1. We'll score an og. -
I don't think he's drunk, he's just out his depth and tactically inept
-
At least Puel brought us in some decent signings and set the foundations for Rodgers to work with. It feels like Maresca reset our foundations after Rodgers destroyed it and now cooper is already destroying what Maresca built. Utterly honking stuff
-
Not expecting this guy to work miracles given our looming points deduction and limited resources for transfers, but the minimum I expect is to try and make us difficult to beat, work hard, cover every blade of grass and show some passion and pride. We've seen absolutely none of this in pre season and seen nothing of what looks like a plan or tactics. The players look lost and look like they have no clue what they are doing. The teams we've played are all bang average and would be lower end of the pl table and we have looked so far off it in every game. Unless something changes drastically, I genuinely don't see us winning a single game.

Turned it on and turned it straight off. Comes to something when I'd rather watch the manchester mafia in the community shield
-
Where can I watch this, sounds like it's a must watch game
-
Yep it's a farce. We are being punished doubly for overspending as we are most likely going to get a points deduction plus not being able to spend. Could take years for us to get back to any decent level in terms of finances and fighting further up the Premier league table.
-
A left back is still a priority for me as Kristiansen isn't great and Thomas isn't even championship standard. Even with Buonanotte, still feel another creative mid that could score and assist.
-
Problem we have is, if we do get Zaha we can't get anymore loans in, so a new striker would have to be a permanent and not sure we have the money. Any decent striker for this level would cost £20m minimum Was meant to quote @splinterdream
-
Not sure we'd need a striker as we may rotate zaha and mavididi down the middle plus the options of Cannon and Vardy. Any spare money we have needs to be on a creative centre mid that can chip in with goals to fill the KDH gap
-
Either sky know something or there's been a flurry of bets. I'm probably guessing the latter.
-
Was more the fact he seems to have Riccy P at centre back 🤣.
-
Just got a migraine trying to work out what's going on here.
-
This is a tactic for us to force Palace into selling us Ayew. Rudkin in!
-
Given the other players we've been linked with, he's probably the better option. Miles better than Ayew

Premier League 24/25 Pre-season guff (misc talking points)
jayfox26 replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
£65m for Solanke is absurd. -
Up front. A counter attacking set up with mavi left fatawu right and Zaha down the middle. Then when them 3 have terrorised defenders we throw vardy on. The more I think about it, it could be pure sex if could utilise them 3 plus vardy in the right way.

Finally some good news. Even if we get a points deduction and this season is tough and we go back down, the thought of the likes of Alves, Nelson, Braybrooke slapping the championship next season would be delightful. Hopefully Cooper can give some decent game time to Alves this season, so long as he is ready for first team football.
