Offer them £10m and then another £10m if we stay up. Also maybe give them Cannon on loan as a sweetener.

If he's coming back to England, I'd imagine he'd choose Palace, if they are interested. I'm not sure his ego would want to join a team that is likely to be in a relegation battle. I think Palace will do ok this season and probably finish mid table. However if we somehow manage to get him, he would be a good signing. I don't particularly like him and have always thought he's a pr1ck, but he'd offer us alot more than someone like Jordan Ayew. As Ric said, I could see him and Mavididi being used between lw and up front. Realistically, we don't have and aren't likely to be able to sign a striker that could score 10+ goals (other than possibly Vardy if he's still got it) so having some attacking options like Mavididi, Fatawu and Zaha who could maybe all score 7-8 goals each, could give us a decent shot of staying up, plus adding in any goals from Vardy and maybe Cannon. A centre mid to add some goals like KDH did would be nice as well.

Why would we spend £10m on a backup keeper when we have limited funds and have other areas that need strengthening? Are you John Rudkin?
-
Why? We already have Mads as first choice and then Stolarcyk will be 2nd choice once he's back from injury pushing Ward to 3rd choice. Realistically, Ward ain't leaving until his contract expires next summer so there is zero point in spending £10m on a back up keeper when the chances are, Mads will play every game next season.
-
We've barely any budget left to sign players for the positions we need, so it would be very like us to spend £10m on a back up keeper to go with the £12m we spent on another centre back.
-
He's only 21 so plenty of potential but his stats aren't great for the 2 previous loans he's had at Union Berlin and Burnley. If its a loan with an option to buy then it's not a terrible deal so long as the fee required isn't too high. I'm sure us signing him permanently would be reliant on us staying up. Seen a few videos of him and he seems a tidy player but doesn't seem a natural finisher which is surely what we need.

Nah Jota is a weasel, he can stay there.

We'll accept their apology, take their players and then screw them in court anyway.

Saturday 3 August v FC Augsburg pre-season friendly
jayfox26 replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Utter garbage these. Regardless of how poor we might be, we'll struggle to score here, as literally everytime we look like threatening they just cynically foul us. Hideous to watch, especially as the ref won't do shit as it's a friendly -

Garbage this ref. I know it's only a friendly but how many times is he going to let fouls go unpunished. We always seem to research our friendly opponents well and make sure we are playing absolute cloggers. Perhaps it's all part of the plan and they can blame injuries when we are dreadful this season -

11th in the bundesliga would be relegation fodder in the prem. Don't pretend Augsburg are a decent side, they are bang average at best and would lose to nearly every side in the prem, except us of course. -
Was thinking we'd got Ignasi Miquel back

BANG! That’s how we get a new player!

Not strictly true as we signed Fatawu at the end of August last year. Get what you're saying though, we didn't/couldn't strengthen in January and haven't signed anyone yet this summer (Fatawu aside) that would be a guaranteed started every week this season. -

I think we are capable of finishing 18th, but unfortunately that would mean we'd be relegated. Whether or not we have a team capable of finishing 17th place, is a different matter. -
Awful news. Seemed a really nice guy and I'd say he goes down as a legend at our football club. Might not have worked out for him as manager but the work he did alongside Pearson and Steve Walsh and then with Claudio when we won the league was fantastic and he deserves as much praise as anyone for helping turn the club around and bring us unprecedented success. RIP Shakey. Genuinely gutted 💔

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Proper tickled me that 🤣 -
Signing Palace cast offs is a new low.
-
Agreed. Aren't we still waiting on compo for Trey Nyoni?
-
Yep, I thought at the time he was horrible, little tw@t. Miserable scottish fecker

£15m plus Danny Ward. We all know Brendan loves Danny Ward.

Dreamt last night that we lost our first game of the season 9-2. Felt sick when I woke up this morning. Never been so angry about a dream before, even when I dreamt my wife was banging someone else.
-
You've got more patience than me. Anything less than 3 points against Spurs and he has to go.
-
Ric Flair for director of football please!
-
My previous message said, if we could get another team to pay us £2.5m, then he basically leaves for free but we haven't had to pay him to leave. The other team has ultimately paid up his contract. It's not likely to happen anyway, he'll stay here as 3rd choice and then leave for free next summer.
-
He's going to have to accept a lower salary from next summer regardless. He wouldn't be losing anything as he'd be having his contract paid up by us
