  1. I can remember when it was five pints of M&B Mild at The Huntsman and a dripping cob. Tempus sodding fugit!
  2. Albrighton will sort this out.
  3. Ünder still in the frame?
  4. I think we can expect to see shedloads of activity on social media of leading players from the BIG SIX playing kicky kicky footy with young disadvantaged 'supporters', visits to children's wards in local hospitals, heavy participation at charity events, 360 degree genuflecting towards whatever good cause is in the limelight and so on and so forth. Pass me the sick bag Alice!
  5. Nothing confirmed here in Italy that Agnelli has done one.
  6. This is a podcast by historians Tom Holland and Dominic Sandbroook, along with journo Jonathan Wilson, on the history of football, how it has become our most successful cultural export and also how it changed in the 1990s to become more of a preserve of the middle classes. With a lot more besides. Don't let my dull précis put you off, it's also amusing. Well worth a listen.

  7. I was lucky enough to have seen Frank in action on the pitch and off the pitch - mainly in Granny’s on the London Road. Such swagger, such effortless grace, such elan. RIP Frank and than you for all those wonderful footballing memories.
  8. They were straight in with a peno. No query? That's why.
  9. BBC so wanted that pen....
  10. “He’s here, he’s there, he’s every-fvcking-where, Stevie Earle, Stevie Earle” Great player, great skills. Glad things turned out well for him in the USA. And thanks for posting that.
  11. I seriously effing adore Jamie Vardy. Apart from his astonishing footballing skills and resilience, he is so honest, so open, so level, so not up himself. An all round good bloke. Such a rare thing in the Prem, indeed in any top level league.
  12. Just been on the BBC Sport home page. Amongst the journalistic treats on offer are Juventus being held by Lazio, 'special' Harry Kane and Manure's Women's team going top of the super league. OK, go to the football page and there we are. Leading with 'contentious' penalty and a caption on Vards pointing out that we have been awarded eight pens this season. Oh yes, and Mr Neil Johnston also manages to say that we are top of the league, if only for a few hours. Doesn't fit the narrative, see?
  13. And Man U have seven points....
  14. Lawrenson bang on the money. Always a pleasure to see.
  15. Don't know if this has already been posted but ffs.......
  16. Are you joking? They are the victims obvs.
  17. Thought Vardy's leg slide after his second goal was pretty impressive. Not overdone and a stylish rise at the end.
  18. Carry on Lawrenson.
  19. This is how The Times sees us since Puel left:
  20. Really nice piece in The Times today on The Boss and The Club and The Fans. Paywall I'm afraid.
  21. There was something about his body language last night after that goal, an almost sheepish thumbs up to the faithful......I think he’s on his way.
  22. Thanks for that. Remarkable difference. I'm on.
