Anyone excited about tomorrow's game ?
fazzyfox replied to marcymarc666's topic in Leicester City Forum
No I can just see a 3, 4 or 5 nil defeat but I’m stupidly holding out hope instead that the line up will be creative, a new formation, throw all Potters preparation out of the window and give us something new to talk about and assess. What’s the word, oh yeah, “Try”. The thought of that excites me enough to look ahead to it but it’s more like a dentists appointment looming on the calendar than a treat of any kind. -
If Utd lose patience with Amorim we must brace ourselves for the inevitable approach for Ruud. It will hard to keep him, it’s his destiny but let’s say 10 million in compensation could persuade us

Onana ya nana

Peter Crouch and Joe Cole stood side by side looking like a tribute to the Driscoll brothers from Only Fools & Horses

Yeah I'd forgotten about that Ten Jellies Rottweiller bloke, to be fair that really has been an extravagance employing two goalkeeping coaches even though we have 4 senior keepers all here day in day out. I take it Alcock was just Goalkeepers whereas he is general first team coach too. We have a set-piece coach? I think Baldrick has had more successful cunning plans than him although to be fair we don't concede from as many like that spell in the Rodgers era (I say spell, it was most of it wasn't it?)

We've given up so will save money by not bothering with a full staff. It'll be Ruud, Kingy and Filbert from now with Rustie Lee on Tuesdays and Thursdays, it'll be a laugh and we'll save some money.

The new contract would be signed by now but Ward keeps dropping the pen -
Leicester Vs Ipswich- 18th May - Jamie Vardy final game?
fazzyfox replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's a good point, that we may need to separate the two things, the awful last day of the season and the appreciation of Vardy and that's tough. If it is the end for him then being subbed on 75 mins by young Evans could be an iconic passing of the baton particularly if Evans comes good. No pressure lad . There really should be a testimonial, while the players are still capable, the title winners squad vs a team of team mates from both before and after, one side managed by Ranieri, the other by Pearson (yes I know the part he had in building the winning squad but nice to have them both involved), also a chance to recognize Kingy's service and say a proper goodbye to the likes of Fuchs and Okazaki. Money can go to Charidy or Rebekah's legal bill fund -
We’ll have a whip round in the Kings Head. A minute after his next team sheet has been revealed with De-Cordova Reid and Ayew starting would be a good moment I’m sure there will be a lot of takers.

Do you reckon he can do the club a discount on a bulk order of frozen burgers?

How does this team do in the Championship?

I predict we’d beat Leeds, I predict we’d beat Leeds -
I wondered why I feel I’ve aged ten years in a year. You’ve saved me a therapist, it all starts to make sense. That much trauma and a bank statement for tickets, trains and cuddly Filberts that tells me we actually pay for the “privilege” of this assault on our emotions. But at least we’re never boring!
-
This is all good “money in the bank” for Will. The 10 men situation, changing positions, coming off the bench, starting games, still plenty more to come too. When approving a loan, matching the right club to the player is crucial, it seems Cardiff are a good fit, not desperate enough to gift him a key role from day 1 but letting him earn his place against his competition and keep it if he impresses. It seems like he’ll be getting plenty of football between now and the end of the season and as we know the Championship throws up opponents of all different shapes and sizes, he left us a boy and will return as a man.

Fulham away in the relegation season, Youri and Soumare just gave up, stopped chasing and just walked around. Then next match they were handed a shirt, a starting place, that devalued the badge and sent out the wrong message to every player at every level at Seagrave, you can opt to not put a shift in and still keep your place. That was an all time low. Well that’s happening again, so many replay frames of goals conceded (I should just say “goals” as there are no other kind) show players not getting back, out of position, so many times last night players hid from responsibility not offering an out ball. If they continue to be picked, again it devalues the badge and what it means to play for our club.

They’ll point firmly at FFP and shrug their shoulders, ignoring the fact that other than Bilal and Fatawu the money available was wasted not to mention the Cooper compensation - who chose him in the first place?

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
fazzyfox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He should have walked on the night the transfer window closed. He is only blotting his copybook for any potential managerial career ahead at the moment. That vs 2 resignations, I think people would see he’s had no support from the board and had sympathy at that point in time. Whether he has anything about him anyway I’m not convinced, he fields the same anonymous performers game after game and wonders why nothing happens out there. -
Hearing Ruud’s analysis that Brentford were just several levels above us it seems like the second half was just about containment, keeeping the score down. At that point, issue a 50% refund and a free hot drink on the way out, if you’re not going to bother then why should we, as a club you are professionally under prepared for the task and have mis-sold tickets on the pretence that you are prepared. “No one available within our budget who would have improved the side”? That budget must have been tuppence ha’penny and a toffee wrapper. £70 to watch training drills with no desire to change, no 2 up top even at 0-3, just given up hope.Do not send any more happy clappy emails about maximum effort, all talk no action.
-
Agree, the game completely passed him by (as did his opponents).
-
The bit where Vestergaard drills a pass to Mavididi to get us 20 yards further up the pitch and Mav scampers back into his own half with it leaving it at Vestys feet like a dog returning a stick . Other than Bilal and Benouanotte we’d reached hot potato time where no-one had the guts to want to be on the ball. Ayew surprised at his subbing and reaction? I recorded it, come round and watch it mate then tell us you put in a fine or even adequate performance.
-
The TV hosts keep bleating on about only being 2 points off 17th, we don’t look like winning 1 point and we have a harder run of games approaching than any other club. Wolves will get a few points in coming weeks as will Ipswich whilst we sit motionless saying “next time, next time”.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
fazzyfox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Walk Ruud, if you think we’re on the right path you’re deluded, you’ve been let down by the club and the players, if you’re not going to try something different step away and call out the lack of backing and poor squad. -
Is Rudkin actually sucking a lemon or is that his permanent resting b**ch face?
-
Bunch of f*****g clowns

No Smithy it’s not about recently seeing us win cups. Have we used our budget well this season? Have we got our appointments right since losing Maresca?

Don’t worry folks, the summer star signing is on, all will be OK
