There's 0% chance there's an appearance fee and we're bringing him on for 2 minute cameos like that. Danny Ward could have stood on the left for a few minutes closing people down, it didn't need to be Daka. If that or any similar contribution cost us five million we wouldn't have bothered. It's a silly myth, it was always a silly myth, he just isn't playing because he wants to leave so he's third choice. Probably fourth when Cannon is fit. We're favouring people who are completely committed, after last year that's what people want, no?

He's just a little pair of round sunnies short of covering Paranoid at Rockstock

I honestly think they're being given a bit too much credit to be perfectly honest. They worked really hard and put us under pressure but their aggressiveness would have cost them if not for their keeper having a Football Manager 8.5+. We played through them and created more at will than we have against a bunch of more cautious sides. We literally had a mountain of extremely good chances, hit the post twice, forced some good saves. Yeah, we were a bit open at the back but they managed a lot of half chances from vaguely threatening areas and that's about it.

We actually should have had two. Yes, Vestergaard was pulled to the ground really badly and I think VAR would have given that. But the worst one is Fatawu. The referee sees the full incident and literally just gets the rules objectively wrong. You can say that they didn't see Vestergaard go down properly but he saw Fatawu and just simply made an extremely amateurish mistake. The law changed some time ago, it now states (as per the official FA website) - "If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues holding inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick."

Just finished watching this had to see it recorded tonight. Could have been four or five, thought the quality chances were fairly one sided despite how hard they worked. Casadei and Kel in particular really should have bagged. Happy all in all. As an aside, there's zero chance we'd be using Daka in such frivolous sub appearances if he had a clause in his deal that said we owed Salzburg more money. Anyone could have stood on the left for five minutes and closed down.

Best game for us so far by a long way. Could have had two goals and two assists on another day. The header to Kel would have been my favourite goal of the season by a long way. The fact he pulled that performance out against what was probably one of the most challenging sides of the season so far gives real optimism. Like that.

And how is he for pace & dribbling / take ons vs Wanya & Kacey

I will never understand the absolute fluffers that go on other clubs forums just to lick their arse holes and tell them they're special. Sunderland are bang average, we're objectively too good for this league and we should smash them if we don't choke. Oh and their fans probably won't make any more noise than any other club that sells out their allocation this year. It's the big day out for the whole league.

He right footed?

Online is always different to real life though. You're comparing apples and oranges. I don't personally know any Leicester fans that give any more of a shit about Spurs than they give about us tbh.

In their defence it seems quite mutual.

Yeah man absolutely bang on, it's definitely rewarding. When you start thinking of combat as just another puzzle to solve you're on the right track. Honestly, I know guys that have been playing D&D for over a decade or more who still forget some basics like focus firing a target at a time or paying attention to initiative order or - a good one you've just pointed out - checking your environment!

What a legend. Megson walked so Holloway could run.

I wouldn't go that far

Mhm. I'm using humour to brace myself for it. I do think he'll be the first manager we've lost as opposed to sacking in a very long time.

Until he's poached by Brighton to replace De Zerbi and we replace him with Russell Martin
-
Oh god no, it's not healthy at all. But christ does it give me energy.
-
Ah so they aren't going to start popping up anywhere else?
-
No idea where this came from, it's kinda obnoxious. Is there a way I can turn it off so I don't see them?

Funnily enough, I tried Irish for a bit. It blows my mind that Wales/Welsh gets so much stick for pronunciation and the Irish largely get off the hook. It's an absolutely batshit language. Anyone wondering where all the vowels went from Welsh - the answer is Irish raiders ran off with them all around 53AD apparently.

They were lucky it wasn't about 12 and that's accounting for the fact they probably could have scored another. We were hideously wasteful in the final third but their defence leaked like a sieve.

Their online fans had this really weird crisis of confidence because of us. They were obsessed with telling themselves, us and anyone that would listen that they were a bigger club than us. It was a bit weird. I kinda get it, there were Leicester fans on here going through something similar last year about Brighton, Brentford etc. We were the "bigger" club that had had a good run in the top flight butt sliding towards relegation and they were the plucky up and coming sides doing everything right, like we used to be. I guess that's how Sunderland saw us. But in absolute fairness to Sunderland, they were terrific when we went to their place near the end of the 15/16 season. They really wanted us to win the league, were really supportive and I've told this story before but I still can't quite believe it - their fans literally clapped our away buses out of the city. I've never seen anything like it. We just beat them and they were all by the pubs and on the pavement clapping the away fan buses as we left it was nuts.
