Ben Nelson - loan to Oxford United - Official
Jazzy_Jeff replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Surely we won’t consider selling him - could be our centre back for the next 10 years. We can get enough for Faes (🤣), Kristensen (🤣), Soumare (🤣), Ndidi and Hermansen (😩) to keep our heads about water on PSR. Anything for Vestergaard, Coady, Winks, Ayew, BDCR and Daka is a bonus. -
My point is they would have negotiated a price at the beginning of the loan. I can’t recall a time where a price had been agreed then been haggled down - would have been no point making an agreement in the first place
-
They should have negotiated better at the beginning then. You can’t have an agreement to buy a player for a certain price and then decide you do want him but want to pay less than agreed- that’s not how it works.

Saints (H) Pre-match - The El Shatico

Just play players who will be with us next season. Leapfrogging Ipswich would give us an extra couple of million to put towards Ruuds sacking so come on lads do it for the P45 -
What are the odds on Wrexham beating us opening day with the winner from Vardy and a penalty save from Danny Ward….
-
I wouldn’t both with Poku and would ensure Monga has a prominent role instead
-
Regardless of how the team has done this season we cannot have Vardy leave without a player of the year trophy.

I fear we’ll never see the likes of Jamie Vardy again. A wonderful story compromising of a man who was told he wouldn’t make it surpassing all expectations and becoming a legend to a fanbase for all eternity. His determination, passion, commitment and underrated ability (by some not connected to the club) will never be forgotten. A true one of a kind. I wish him well in whatever he does. We will always have the memories that he created for us and I sincerely hope that who he is remains part of our culture as a club. From the shithousery and the humour to the sacrifices he made and ability he has shown - I still maintain that the over the shoulder volley at the Hawthorns would be permanently showed anywhere if Kane, Rooney etc scored it. Thank you Jamie, I will never forget what you’ve done and how you made my dreams come true. 💙🦊

Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)

I wouldn’t mention any of that and hope no-one notices. -

Going rate for a 22yr old international with 2 & 1/2 years top flight experience has to be in excess of £15m -
He did hire Steve Cooper…….

Burnley is also an absolute hole. That would have impacted recruitment. Leicester isn’t exactly glamorous but more likely to attract people than Burnley
-
I’d recommend you listen to his interview on the rest is football - great listen. I like Dyche. He comes across well and it sounds like Everton were in an even bigger mess than us behind the scenes. This is bound to have contributed. He's mates with Rudders and I’d hope that he is someone JR would listen to. First and foremost he would get us doing the basics well on and off the pitch and we build from there. We need to take a step back and look at where and what we are. Ultimately we need stability and to reconnect the fans with the club. I think he would give us a team we can be proud of and would change us from the soft touch that we have been this season.

What’s the plan for the next five games
Jazzy_Jeff replied to JimmyC74's topic in Leicester City Forum
Put RVN on gardening leave/sack him before Wolves. Pick a team of players and ask them to play like their footballing future depends on it. We can’t be carrying any more passengers. -

Evan Ferguson on loan with obligation to buy if promoted
-
Even so, it’s a high bar
-
Looking at their remaining fixtures I’d say there is a good chance that spurs and Man Utd could finish 16th and 17th. Just highlights the strength of the league bar the promoted teams. I can see one of next years new boys beating Derbys record at this rate

IMO it’s a really easy job to gauge success in. We are always told it’s a results business - make the contracts (and player wages whilst we’re at it) purely performance based -

This is where regulator would come in handy. As it stands managers wouldn’t sign if the contract did them out of compensation. However, I can’t think of another industry where an employee can do an awful job yet get paid handsomely to get sacked. There should be a performance related clause written in as standard and I don’t think that hiring and firing should count within PSR. The whole set up is horrendous. -

Hermansen JJ Coady Okoli Thomas Skipp Ricardo Monga BEK Mavididi Vardy -
I actually think we’d have a chance of getting Evan Ferguson on a loan with obligation deal. He's massively out of favour at Brighton and has gone to West Ham and he’s barely played let alone scored. Surprising considering their lack of strikers. He could do with dropping down to build some confidence

Relegation Post Mortem 2025 Starts Here.

Everything that could have possibly gone wrong did. - manager left and took player of the season with him - appointed awful replacement - hideous summer transfer window - injuries to Fatawu & Ricardo (long-term) Ndidi and Hermansen (short term) - sacked terrible manager, replaced him with worse one - no January transfer window - players forgot how to score or defend - players fall out with manager - relegated without and ounce of effort - forest to get in Europe and Leeds promoted (possibly Coventry too) - impending EFL punishment Have I missed anything? -
Comedy Highlights Of A Terrible Season

I’m pretty sure when we conceded the first goal to Newcastle at home the camera panned to RVN and you could very clearly lip read him say “oh for **** sake” Summed up the season really.
