  1. Egg firmly on face, cancel the public enquiry.
  2. In fairness all I said was that adults with no kids who were too into Xmas grind my gears, which was loosely linked to Merging Culture's point on adults/corproates 'x sleeps until y' grinding his fears, which was also deleted for some reason.
  3. Why did my post get deleted? One of the mods must be very defensive when it comes to Xmas
  4. How does purpleronnie get his pics up on the post match threads so quickly? Always the first one to reply to the OP and never disappoints.
  5. Agree with this, would +1 if I wasnt on my phone. Try to avoid social media around Christmas for this reason. On that note - adults with no kids/nieces/nephew who are a bit too into Christmas.
  6. Does anyone ever feel like they are living in The Truman Show and everyone else in 'life' is just an actor?
  7. Dont get me wrong, I unashamedly use it all the time in work. Maybe its because I've just associated with work at this stage!
  8. The missus says 'on the same token' quite a lot, know what it means but never really understood the logic behind it. On a side note, 'business speak' has to be up their with the worst... 'Let's park that' 'We'll touch base on Thursday' 'Can you follow up with him?' 'Can I bounce something off you?' 'For aviodance of doubt' 'Let's close it' ...and thats just the tip of the iceberg. Worst thing is that we've all used them...
  9. Congrats to Vinci. An all Italian tennis ladies final would normally create a lot of male interest but in this case...
  10. Serena on the ropes. Hope she comes back and completes the Grand Slam.
  11. Cheers for the Bruges advice lads, sounds like Ribs n Beer is an essential!
  12. Coming Soon: The Sister doing it for herself and the seven vertically challenged men.
  13. Have to agree with this.
  14. Just adding more fuel to the fire... http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/34150058
  15. Cant tell whether half of these comments are tongue in cheek or over sensitive. World rankings dont win matches/tournaments but I'm happy for Wales in all honesty.
  16. Couldnt agree more. After posting the above they probably treated their assistants like absolute horseshit for buying the wrong brand of bottled water.
  17. Any excuse to post this...
  18. Whatever you do, don't use Yodel next time.
  19. Re: Famous people in charity ads - For me its unfortunately an neccesary evil. The general public are going to listen to, say One Direction, telling you to donate money than anyone on this forum doing the same thing. From One Direction's point of view it is helping a charity but also a lot of positive publicity. From the charity's point of view, their profile gets more interest from a young demographic who may not have donated before Harry Styles told them to.
  20. Did the work experience kid write this?
  21. Booked Bruges for 2 nights in December. Got decent prices on the Eurostar though hotels are really pricey compared to other European cities! For its size it seems like 2 nights is more than enough time to spend there. Any recommendations/ hidden gems from anyone who has been before?
  22. Watched loads of films, drunk beer, played mini pool, didnt leave the house and most importantly, didnt feel guilty about it at all. Rarely do this so its a great day!
  23. Congrats, good luck in Europe!
  24. In a nutshell, one of their best performances of the season drew with our worst performance of the season. Says it all about the two clubs really though I still hope stay up.
