Playing that way can only be justified if you grind out a horrible win. And we couldn't even manage that. Against 10 men we couldn't even just pass the ball around and kill time with an extra man. Awful game management.

Yep. He can't win at the minute but the alleged selection of Silko Thomas at LWB is a real left field one, I think.

Did he really get pelters, though? I think it was more people saying (rightly in my view) that he clearly looks promising but isn't quite ready for the physicality of Championship football as a starter. Even Pipes on RL made this point. I think there is a danger that people conflate constructive assessment with 'hating on' players.

Last week at Millwall we had players costing a combined total of around £90m on the bench.

At least they have hope, unlike us, because they're not about to be hammered by a points deduction and, once they do finally get the right manager, they are financially strong enough to back him well. There is no light at the end of the tunnel for us at this point.

The signing of Okoli says everything about the lack of joined-up strategy at the club. We're apparently wedded to hiring managers who aspire to play Pep ball, and yet we sign a CB who would have made the 1980s Wimbledon defenders look like Maldini on the ball. Beggars belief really. Unless Marti moves away from building up attacks through the thirds, beginning with our CBs, I don't see how Okoli can start in games, irrespective of any attributes he might have, such as pace, physicality and seemingly a good attitude.

Forest have Man U and Liverpool to play in their next 3 games. Could get even worse for them.
