I think we should be blooding far more youngsters in the 50 over trophy. Playing 2 overseas players and still losing 5 out of 8 games (which seems likely after today's first innings) is both expensive and pointless. The youngsters could hardly have done worse. In fact, one of them has been the best bowler in the competition by a distance.

True but that's because buying clubs are getting desperate. Not sure many of our players were attractive enough to be high up on other clubs' lists of targets.

Embarrassing

Yet again losing an early wicket. Seems to have happened in every game in this competition.

We'll probably raise £100m from sales, buy nobody and yet still fail PSR again next summer, the club is so incompetent.

Needed to bat first to have a chance of winning today, I think. If they get over 300 (almost certain), just can't see us getting close with the likes of Masood batting with a strike rate of about 60.

Horrendous

Hate the thought of Winks playing for us again but we have to do this. We just can't progress the ball with the current line up.

100% agree. I don't know what the manager is trying to do here. We have 2 full backs who never venture forward and 2 CDMs stationed about 10 yards ahead of the CBs. It's no wonder we can't progress the ball forward or look remotely like scoring unless it's a set piece. There's also no pressing or running off the ball at all.

Compare the way they close down to the way our captain is jogging around giving their players a free pass or cross. Sickening.

Brownhill would be another expensive short term fix with no sell on value. We need to stop making signings like this, even if they would be an upgrade in the immediate future. He has never been an effective player at PL level and, if that's where we aspire to be, we need to start signing players with potential to be successful there, even if they're not the finished article now.

Surely we won't see Vesty starting again? With his lack of pace, he's simply a sitting duck in this kamikaze system being deployed by Marti.

Very annoying that they had an easy first fixture. Needed them to have a West Ham style start to really facilitate a full implosion.

Very much Leicester 22/23 vibes about them. Their upcoming fixtures look tough as well.
