  1. Sadly, you are right, if course. I'm just grasping at any possibility that there is some hope that this won't happen after all.
  2. If anyone from the club lurks on here to pick up the mood of the fans, they can only be alarmed at the overwhelming, if not hostile, opposition to this appointment. It would be great if that brought them to their senses. This is our last hope now.
  3. If you think possession football is boring, wait until you are watching us camped on the edge of our box for 80% of the game whilst touching the ball in the opposition's box about 3 times per game which is pretty much what he served up at Forest.
  4. I'm talking about his PL spell, which is the relevant bit.
  5. Kompany's appointment is an unprecedented outlier based on who he is, rather than what he has achieved.
  6. Yes, despite bus parking for the most part, his Forest teams shipped nearly 100 goals in 55 games.
  7. I don't care what they think. They'd been irrelevant for 25 years when he was appointed so the fact he gave them the only tiny bit of success most of them have seen in their lifetime was bound to make him a hero there.
  8. I was holding out for a last minute change of heart but this looks like it is now too far gone. Deary me.
  9. I don't care what he says, action speaks louder than words. His football in the PL was horrific, as the metrics shared earlier showed.
  10. I think a change of ownership is needed now. Feels hard to write that after the success they've given us but all good things come to an end, and, let's face it, KP have completely lost their way in the past 3 years. Their total mismanagement of our finances in that period could well see us back in league one in a couple of years, given the EFL will take great pleasure in absolutely nailing us after we inevitably get relegated this coming season. On top of that, their continued faith in failed executives and unwillingness to develop the required backroom infrastructure that Enzo was pushing for, is fatally undermining our development as a club. Layer on the fiasco of charging £25 for a season ticket card and ramping up match day tickets to ridiculous levels, and generally being rubbish at fan engagement, and it really is a grim picture.
  11. The atmosphere in the ground is going to be horrific next season. A manager who most fans don't want, playing horrific football, with a team that isn't really up to the required level because we have no money to spend. It feels like we have the potential to be Sheff U levels of bad. Like them, we're also probably going to flog our best player in the close season. Feeling utterly deflated tbh.
  12. He's basically a younger version of Steve Bruce or Chris Wilder. Readjusting to our new lowly status in the pecking order is not easy to take. This appointment is maybe the point at which I've reluctantly reached acceptance on the grief curve.
  13. This is a big issue for me. We're not going to be attractive as it is, given the likely big points deduction, so we really needed a manager who players would be excited to play for. Maresca quickly convinced players to stay last season, despite being in the Championship, because he sold an exciting vision. Just can't see Cooper having the same effect. Can't see Winks and Ricardo wanting to play in a low block team watching the ball sail over their heads. Plus, it's not even like we have a squad set up for sh1tehouse ball, like Everton did when Dyche came in.
  14. To be fair, it's not as if we will be asking fans to pay £72 per match to watch this sort of sh1t. Oh....
  15. Absolutely no from me. Very surprised that so many are saying they are "happy". Was expecting 80/20 against the appointment.
  16. Seeing this makes you realise how lucky they were to stay up, which we knew anyway.
  17. Just praying that this news about Cooper is Preki Mark 2 and is a smokescreen for our real managerial target. Surely we can't be appointing Cooper?
  18. Shocked to see that Cooper is now the front runner. He would be a truly underwhelming appointment which would show how far our stock has fallen over recent years. Appointing a manager whose best achievement is just about keeping up a promoted club and then getting sacked early the following season after winning 20% of the PL games he managed in. The club is going backwards fast, sadly.
  19. Some people do talk sh1te on here!
  20. Really poor effort from our top order batsmen again, apart from Rishi. Mulder, Kimber and Handscomb need to be scoring more heavily. Will be very surprising if we don't lose fairly easily from now on.
  21. Yep - with an option to buy for £10m, which they'll seek to negotiate down next summer, even if Soumaré has 100 goal involvements in the season whilst leading Galatasaray to a league and CL double. Absolute jokers.
  22. I can. We are the most bonkers club in the world.
  23. Very sad news. Made a great impression in his short time with us. RIP, Super Kev.
  24. Shocking news. Very sad to hear. Remember he played against us last season.
  25. Well beaten tonight. Lancs are a stronger, more experienced team. Just move on.
