  1. Yes agree, but is also the same squad that has currently surrendered a 17 point cushion over Leeds
  2. Based on this, wouldn't most clubs that get relegated from the premier league be in breach? If the EFL then require a business plan from the relegated clubs because they propose they're going to be in breach, wouldn't the responses from those relegated clubs be exactly the same... somewhere along the lines of, we will sell players to cover this breach, unless we get promoted at the first time of asking, then it doesn't apply.
  3. So leeds go from 2 points dropped to actually 1 point gained 🙄
  4. Happy with that draw. Definitely both beatable
  5. It's tough to take tonight but as has been said, we're still 6 points clear. It's still in our own hands and Leeds will drop points from now to the end of the season too. Let them celebrate like they've won the league. Ipswich are closer to them than they are to us.
  6. Hard one to take that result. 2-0 and the game is over but how many games have we let teams back into it towards the end. The deflected goals conceded this season is ridiculous too - they've all resulted in dropped points - hows your luck hey. So frustrating again
  7. Nervous, but pressure is on them too. Ipswich winning the other night and moving level on points was good for us, as they will still have one eye on them and Southampton aren't out of the running. I reckon Southampton vs Leeds last game will decide second spot. Tonight is one that if you cant win, you make sure dont lose situations, so let's hope for no silly mistakes.
  8. I think this is also probably a dig at the board to make sure funds are made available in the summer to strengthen. Basically, if you don't support my philosophy and get me the players I want, I'm off too.
  9. Daka fits this system perfect
  10. So slow and laboured. At least albion won't have studied us to see that we won't change formation or make the same substitutions
  11. Same formation, same subs. We couldn't be anymore predictable
  12. We lacked any urgency the whole game
  13. We should've been giving Mcateer more of the ball, he's had the beating of their rb the whole half
  14. Excited to see what he brings. As said, could be a disaster but could also be a very good appointment given time to implement some new ideas. Working alongside pep is a big plus for any coach and that has to be a huge positive for us. I think he'll try instill some of that playing style with us, we just need the personnel. Be interesting to see the players he brings in.
  15. The championship is more physical but maybe a season in there would do him good. He needs a consistent run in the team but if he can't break into the team this season then I think it would be time to go. If Barnes was to go, I think he'd occupy the left hand side.
  16. Only about 10 more farewell videos to go
  17. We've got to be due a late winner at some point with an absolute shithouse performance
  18. Iversen & Leitzig Just realised both GK's
  19. We've literally got nowhere near them. TAA is playing centre mid, that's how much use Barnes has been down that side
  20. I wonder if they dare do a lap of honour if we were to go down? It could be a pretty toxic atmosphere
  21. We all see things differently and its good to have a difference of perspective, but having someone like Kasper and growing up watching players like walsh, elliot, roy keane, patrick viera who inject passion, would be rallying the team and certainly wouldn't settle for less than 110%. I'm not saying you have to be like those above to be a leader/captain, but I do think that is what this team is currently missing on the pitch.
  22. 100% agree. Having players like tielemans as captain, when he has no intention of staying at the club and has made it clear for about 18 months. What does that breed into a team and these players? These players don't care, maddison, tielemans will just waltz out of our club at the end of the season to take on a nice big contract elsewhere. It's us as fans that care about the club, pay money to travel to games etc that will be hurt, upset angry and will have to go through the ups and downs again of a rebuild, when 2 seasons ago we could have really been establishing ourselves as a team challenging the top 6 on a regular basis.
  23. He is definitely better than what we currently have and always looks to get us on the front foot. He would be worth keeping when the inevitable happens.
  24. Yes I said as forest beat Southampton tonight. We really are relying on other teams doing us a favour
