  1. Just imagine if we had saved the £20m on Skipp with the thinking that it would be good to strengthen in January and spend that money. I don’t think that’s a benefit of hindsight thing, just good planning. I hate what we’ve become.
  2. The problem isn’t the manager. The problem lies in the reasons we are shopping in the bargain basement for the likes of BCDR and Ayew. That Rudkin has the audacity to turn up to games is also starting to wind me up. Do you think he realises or appreciates why fans might be a bit annoyed?
  3. Play like that for the rest of the season and we’ll be absolutely fine 🤣
  4. I absolutely agree with you. I wasn’t making excuses. I’ve been put off lately taking my 6 year old daughter to her first home game recently as those who sit near me need to wash their mouth out every 2 minutes. It’s a problem, I’m just not sure how to deal with it.
  5. There’s no getting away from that some people express themselves like this. It’s reality, unless you want football to attract more a rugby type crowd.
  6. Please tell me this is real… 🤣 I’m asking more in hope
  7. Exactly. I think he’s essentially endorsing the protest against the regime. It’s certainly not favouring the regime or neutral, and so by default I think is supportive
  8. Absolutely this. This is when it can be traced back to. We lost a strong person with acumen about building a business empire and he was replaced by his son - like some sort of medieval kingdom. I think we held it together for a bit after that, but there were signs before the cup final with certain players running down contracts etc. I think the window where we lost Fofana, didn’t sign Lookman, but then signed Faes late on, reflects everything that’s gone wrong with strategy, decision-making and recruitment.
  9. Superb. Have seen the update on the funding page - great work
  10. I remember having a similar debate about Alan Rogers and Chris Makin. But I agree. I’m not sure what anyone sees in VK, he’s such a one dimensional full back. Our Luke is not a world beater, but I do think he’s better than VK.
  11. From what I saw last night, Ndidi coming back and hopefully staying fit give us half a chance. He was directing people around and using his experience to lead - we’ve been massively lacking that. I’d like to think he cares enough and that it will rub off on those around him.
  12. He’s shit and he’s been shit at every level we’ve played at (other than one game in Moscow). He had too much grace period because of his effort and smiley face. Need to cut our considerable losses.
  13. I was in the corporate area tonight and I spent a few mins before kick off chatting to a former player in the media box. When we got on to Monga he basically said he’s made the first team squad to bulk up his reputation and fee, and that’s he’s off - he’s received offers from everyone bla bla bla. There was winking going on on and all sorts when I probed… None of this will be surprising, but thought I’d share anyway.
  14. I was in the corporate home area tonight and the away fans were magnificent. I just tried to post a photo but it was too big. Bravo everyone. As for the game… underwelming really. We did ok until we had the opportunity to shit our pants and then we did.
  15. Really excited to see him and Jake Evans. I hope at least one of them starts.
  16. Alan Rogers was better than Victor Kristiansen
  17. It comes on sale for me on the 7th, but I’m after 4 for this preferably together. Optimistic I know, but if anyone can help please let me know.
  18. Exactly. These clowns need hounding out don’t they. I’ve been thinking about when RvN mentioned the structures at the club in a positive light when he was first appointed. I’m not sure if RvN was directly questioned about it (possibly not), but it is a strange thing for a new manager to mention without being asked about it. I think he’s done it as a way of ensuring the topic gets air time and therefore scrutiny. This is a common thing in PR. From recollection he said he spoke to Enzo, who was glowing about the structures - despite everyone knowing and it being in print that Enzo was critical about it.
  19. Not sure how credible Rudkin would be as CEO as someone who has overall oversight when he’s managed to botch the oversight he’s had of football operations. Potentially hiring someone so inexperienced smacks to me of KP paying lip service to our concerns. Unless he has some sort of mega up and coming reputation we are not aware of, getting someone from League One who is new in their role strikes you as odd and underwhelming. I’ll always say how we should have moved for Emery when he went to Villa. Look at where they are and who they now have in the DoF role - one of the best operators in the game. Now we’re talking about George Friend, someone most of us thought might still be playing 🤣
  20. It’s my club, not theirs. I’ll renew, but do I want change - absobloodylutely
  21. Tbf to Jonny, when he could be arsed at least he could play at a good level. Not sure we can say that for this gobshite
  22. The Mirror are reporting that Coady was pushing for the move to Wolves. That’s his reputation here shot to pieces then. A supposed leader trying to cut and run when the tough gets going. But it’s ok because he goes on podcasts and says the right thing.
  23. I have a sense of apathy and often feel little when we concede (more gobsmacked after 10 seconds at Everton), and sometimes when we score. It comes from seeing such poor levels of commitment on the field from highly paid players and incompetence behind the scenes, so why get too invested? I wouldn’t be too bothered if we continued to slide down the leagues, and I’d still go. It’s in my DNA. I’m the 4th generation from my family to go, and I’m hoping that my daughter will be the 5th. The important thing to remember in all of this is that we’ll still be around when Top, Rudkin and the rest of the circus have gone. It’s our club, not theirs.
