I wish our crowd could muster up the same amount of energy booing ex-players that screwed us over as they put into clapping Maddison last time we played Spurs. That dude got more support than our own players. Weird. Not that KDH is one of those that needs a good booing. Everyone knows what the deal was there.

Sadly I have some experience in this world. It's exactly this. It's hard to translate smells to images, so creatives back in the day had use visual methaphors and synaesthesiain the absence of Smellivision. It's more brand awareness and demographic targeting than anything else. It's also why they spend absolutely inordinate amounts of money on very famous people to front the campaigns. Whether we like it or not, it gets people's attention. Although I'm sick of seeing Johnny Depp talking shit and fvcking about in the desert on his guitar in the name of Sau(s)age.

To @Mark and other mods. Do you get a lot of bot accounts signing up to the site? I always notice seemingly totally random, weirdly named accounts appearing in the "newest member" section. is this something you have to keep tabs on?
-
Sadly this will be the case as long as the club is outside of the relegation places. Staying up is the priority and whether we like it or not, Cooper is currently on target.
-
There was a poster a few years ago - Treer? They never posted in existing threads, just made a new thread every time they had a point to make. I'm convinced the Elsee Efcee account is a bot or something farming content.

Great memories of the Narb Co-op. Once went to get cash out there drunk out of my mind and left £40 in the cash dispenser. Good times (for one passer-by). If they're anything like my local one these days they're peddling some of the worst produce available at Waitrose+ prices. It's no wonder people don't want to pay. Surprised this has only just made the Merc. If the Leicester subreddit is to be believed, muggers and phone-snatching scum have been targeting people on New Walk for some time. Lawless wasteland man.

It is what it is - a promo bundled in as part of the sponsorship deal. It's miles better than some of our signing reveals. Can't wait for this to become the most viewed post in X's history. Rudkin clearly in charge of casting this very favourable version of himself too.

Does Yoko Ono count? Abnoxiously tried to screech over John Lennon and Chuck Berry's duet. Berry's reaction. The sound engineer cut the microphone feed thankfully.

6 pages. Pathetic numbers. TBF, there was a general Brendan Rodgers thread which had all the Brendan Out stuff and that was loooooooooong. Like 2k pages.

I suppose it depends whether the podcast deal is exclusive or not. If it's an exclusivity deal then yes it would've cost the BBC an awful lot - more than I suspect they can afford, since the Rest Is Football would have to forego ad support if only hosted on BBC platforms and that income would have to be made up for with the deal. I rather suspect it's just a hosting agreement though since Goalhanger are making a fortune from being on commercial platforms. I wonder whether they have also taken on responsibility of producing the MoTD Top 10 podcasts too, since it's the same lineup. Would make sense: Less production cost for the BBC to produce content, The Rest is Football get more reach. Win win.
-
I don't think it's been mentioned here but as part of the new contract, his The Rest Is Football podcast will move to BBC Sounds. Signs a new deal. Doesn't have to do MoTD anymore apart from the FA Cup and World Cup. Flogs his podcast to the beeb. Sounds to me like he's just got more wedge for less work. Fair play.

Is it believed that the Skipp signing came via Cooper? If so it's bizarre that he seems to have been ostracised in recent weeks. Playing Soumare over Skipp? Weird. It's almost as if Cooper doesn't really know what he's doing.
-
I don't think the Beeb would put Alex Scott on the main MoTD. Sadly think they would see it as risky, especially if press reports are to be believed that Football Focus is struggling and likely to be axed. I could see her taking on MoTD2 mind.

In that case he'll be absolutely at home as a lower mid-table Championship manager. Because that's where we'll be.

Got to be a link between underdevelopment the part of the brain responsible for spelling, grammar and language comprehension, and overstimulation of the part of the brain responsible for hating Lineker. Got to be.

Links hates the Mail.

Potter's been overlooked by the national side which he was clearly angling for, but is obviously ready to return to management given he's appearing on Sky every week to remind us. The club obviously wanted him in but the deal fell through at the 11th hour. I'm not convinced he'd be the answer but he'd sure as fvck be better suited than Steve "3rd Choice" Cooper. It's a shame that our club lack the foresight to be proactive and Potter will end up at Wolves or West Ham when they inevitably pull the trigger first. Cooper will not be sacked this week.

I’m sad about the news. There’s no doubt MoTD won’t be the same without him. It’s always been a highlight of the weekend hearing that music followed by his mug gurning at the camera. Whether you like him or not, the guy’s a fantastic presenter and his dynamics with the pundits on the show will be hard to replace. He’s a devoted advocate for the city and the football club and it’s a shame to lose our highest profile supporter from our screens. I reckon he’ll go into semi-retirement now with the odd presenting job and will focus on his ridiculously successful podcast network. There’s one silver lining in that the announcement was made after Jenas was cancelled, thank fvck. Chappers to move from MoTD2. Alex Scott will replace him.

" Hes one for the future " what happened to them !

Ashley Lyth 17y/o who we signed in 2001 for £150,000 potentially rising to £250,000 depending on appearances from Scarborough. Not exactly chump change back then. Apparently ended up back at Scarborough before disappearing into the ether. -
Spam calls. In recent weeks my spam call rate has gone through the roof. Clearly some cvnt company has flogged my details and I'm now getting 4-5 a day from different +44 numbers all over the country.

Souttar wasn't £50m. But yeah, it's not exactly a new trend for our club. Nine times out of ten the signings we make are absolute garbage, it's just every now and then we unearth an unbelievable talent and it skews opinion.

Manchester United 3 - 0 Leicester City - Post Match Thread
RoboFox replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
There's losing to Manchester United at Old Trafford, then there's that. Just going there and offerning absolutely nothing whatsoever and humming the place out for 90 minutes. Absolutey abject performance yet again. Get him gone if we want to stay in the division. Act NOW. -
Set plays in this game have been nothing short of a disgrace.
-
We offer absolutely nothing do we? Just no threat whatsoever. Manchester United won't have an easier game than this all season.
-
Vile half so far. Two absolutely stinking sides.
