All that investment - gone up in smoke. Centres - especially in peripheral towns and poorer areas - have all seen it. Retail is has been in structural decline for years. The growth of e-commerce and retail parks all drawing footfall away from centres. These dudes take over vacant lots with high margin, low overhead businesses that require no specialist skills/knowledge to run.

Decided to book last minute to go to Cape Verde for a week, flying out Monday. Haven't been away for a couple of years so decided to spend a bit on it, although still got a decent deal. The benefit of booking late is you get a decent idea of the weather and avoided many places as a result.

Audio Technica ATH-M50x for my bedroom producer music willy puller stuff, but they're just great over ear headphones for anything IMO. A pair of Sony WF-1000XM5 for day-to-day usage, which are excellent. Bought a pair of cheapo JLab Go Airs recently for running as I wanted those ear hooks to keep them on my big lugs. Surprisingly good functionality and sound quality for a pair of very cheap headphones. However they lasted about a week before the bluetooth just seemed to stop working, so they got sent back. Get what you pay for, I suppose.
