Cynical and desperate vote grab strategy. They need a group of people to demonise. The immigration rhetoric failed, so now they're going after the vulnerable. There's no such thing as "sick note culture," Sunak, you fvcking amoeba. There is a record high NHS waiting list, crippling housing costs, widespread food poverty, stagnant wages and inadequate benefit rates, a broken social care system and dire mental health services. Their annihilation can't come soon enough.

It took me hours to figure out the upgrade systems. It's not explained at all, especially since it was almost completely reworked from the original release. The driving is pretty cack. Probably the worst thing about the game IMO which is a shame because they're modelled so well inside and out. Bikes are unusable, they just feel absolutely terrible. Cars are better but overall, they massively missed the mark on the vehicle physics.

Unpopular opinion, but FF8 > FF7 & 9. Although all 3 PS1 era games are absolute classics, all of which I LOVE, I dunno... I just connected with 8 more. Maybe because I was an angsty teen at the time. Probably completed it like 5 times, and I mean like 100%. Every time I hear that Balamb Garden music, it just gives me the biggest, happiest nostalgia hit. 9 is often forgotten about sadly but absolutely worth a play. 10 is obviously great, but the voice acting hasn't aged particularly well. 12 sucks a biggun' in comparison IMO. They went way too early with the open world approach.

Given RDR2 another crack since I never got around to completing it when it came out. Only got about halfway through and for some reason got distracted. It's like playing it again for the first time. Still an astonishing piece of work. The immersion and levels of detail continues to boggle, and IMO has never been matched since it was released.

I really like Gyllenhaal as an actor. Prisoners, Source Code, End of Watch, Nightcrawler… All great. I thought Road House was dog bob and shouldn’t have been made. The original is a classic.

Generally I eat healthily but I've got a pretty sweet tooth at times and have always enjoyed a treat after dinner like a sugary yoghurt or something. When I'm trying to lose a bit of timber as part of a regime I find jelly is a great, barely-any-calorie, filling treat. I make batches of 4-5 at a time, maybe with a bit of fruit. Keeps in the fridge for ages.

A24 movies can be pretty gratuitous, but I was worried as it's a "big" cinema release that they might tone it down. Glad that it's got an 18 certificate. Deffo gonna catch it next week at the cinema.
