I'll take the long view and say in. 8th last year and a decent run in Europe in an injury-riddled season is more than acceptable. We're two games in, games we've played well in large parts and should have come away with more from, things don't seem terrible performance-wise, overall. Fans are so fickle and opinions change after every game, I wouldn't particularly trust their opinion in a world where their views are so easily swayed by media and clickbaity attention-seeking articles. I would give him at least until Xmas and see where we are then.

Good luck to him, he's still only 24 (honestly thought he was a bit older) so yet to enter his prime. He's always given 100% and it will be interesting to see what he can do in yellow colours again.

I feel like the lack of comings and goings have brought about a greater level of stability in the squad. No new signings to integrate, just a fresh start for the existing side. We look more ready than most other teams this weekend.

How many times has N'Didi....

We've already made the investment in him so if he wants to stay and it looks like he could get close to his potential we should keep giving him chances. If all relevant parties are treating this season as a fresh start for him he deserves this year to prove himself.

I still like us a lot more with Youri than without, so as long as there's no hard feelings, I say welcome back Youri! Let's see if we can win another cup next year!

Can't help but feel like Hennessey is going to be the hero or villain.

I think Rodgers will ask KDH to do what he's been asking Tielemans to do this year, so I see him as a direct replacement with Madders in the 10.

Wouldn't be surprising to see him back at Newcastle, if they deem he is still good enough for them.

Tielemans must have made more mistakes directly leading to an opponents goal than Maguire this year ffs.

If N'Golo Kante wanted to drive his Mini back to Leicester, I would not mind one little bit. One year left on his contract and while he's probably more similar to N'Didi than Tielemans there is a high possibility we'll be losing the latter and Mendy. If we can afford his wages, he'll still have several high-level seasons ahead of him. How much will he go for in the window with one year left?

I honestly can't believe 3/4 want him out. Won us the FA Cup just last year, 9th 5th 5th and whatever this weird, injury-riddled pile of shite season turns out to be, decent run in Europe, plethora of young talent coming through and even though results recently have been disappointing, I think we've been pretty unlucky and haven't played that bad in some relatively meaningless league games. Maybe we could've done better in the league had we not focused so much on the Euro Conf, who knows. I dunno, seems like some are forgetting where we came from, where we were before Rodgers and where we'd be if we'd have gotten someone else. We could easily spiral with a different manager and we're nowhere close to that now. I have confidence next season will be an improvement.

Would much rather he stayed. He's a known quantity, always gives 100% and has started to add a few goals and assists. Odds are whoever we replace him with won't be as good. We're hoping JJ can stay healthy, Ricardo hasn't been back at his POTY best yet but is slowly getting there and I'm not convinced Thomas will be anything more than a squad player, long-term. Still good depth but with question marks and looks a lot shallower if Timmy leaves. But if he wants to go, he goes.

With players coming back you would think the worst is behind us so if we don't get anyone today it won't be that disappointing. But....sometimes these things happen quickly so you never know. I like the way KDH is successfully linking up with our other forward players. There's no hesitation there.
