Nwaneri had been singled out by Arsenal’s academy for some time. He played 20 mins in the PL at 15 he played 13 mins at 16 plus 2 efl trophy appearances. He looks more than comfortable at PL level this season. theres a big difference between u21 football and men’s football. Evans has had one full 90 mins against notts county and did ok. I reckon we’ll see plenty of him next season but I also think that this next few months is just a bit too early for him. Once our fate is sealed I can see him getting some minutes from the bench.

Nor was he sanctioned though ….. konate - that would be a crappy second yellow given he was looking at the ball the whole time. But we’ve seen them given!

I think what you see and hear inside the stadium is not necessarily reflective - it’s a pretty controlled environment for a number of reasons

I think there are a large number of supporters who are unhappy but not prepared /minded / bothered enough to protest because they remember how it used to be ! we should have very competent people running the club but we don’t.

Does anyone think that ?? I also don’t believe he realises the strength of feeling against those actually running the club across the fanbase. He thinks it’s just the noisy few.

that seems a reasonable point but he probably attends half the games per season - I’m guessing that’s higher than the vast majority of PL club owners. He’d not planned to be here yesterday. Evidently he’s on holiday in Japan. He’s just not changing his plans because there’s a protest. he’s the owner. Whilst he cares for the club more than most owners he has other things in his life now. More important ones now he has a young family. I guess he doesn’t have the same irrational love for the club that we do. And I’m probably not being fair with that. turn the clock back to when you had new babies around - would you able to just take days off to travel distance to watch the team ? How would that go down with your missus? If he was skiing in the alps or the states then I’d have some truck with your point. But apparently he’s in Japan - a few hours from home. (And therefore he may have his family with him - I don’t know - it could just be a weekend away with his mates he hasn’t seen for a while ). as I said - slag him off for being crap in lots of things he’s doing re the club because, for now, that seems fair. But I can’t get behind the reason him not being there yesterday as being one of them.

He’d been here for weeks (For the inquest) prior to the Everton game after which he flew back. . He doesn’t live here. he now has a young family and just flitting back to the U.K. isnt perhaps top of his ‘to do list’. last time we were in a relegation fight, he and the family attended lots of games in the run in. you can slag him off for lots of things but not being there today isn’t one of them imo

If top took total ownership then king power could be an associated party and could have made a large sponsorship offer. But I think king power retained some shares so presumably cannot be argued to be an associated party. it’s interesting that we dumped king power shirt sponsorship after the ruling against APT’s came into play. Maybe we are affected.

He’s not wrong to say that from where we currently are, the fans being behind the team will be more likely to help us win than the opposite. I guess you could look at protesting at the end of games/towards the end of a lost game rather than during them - suppose it depends if you believe there is any hope of avoiding the drop. Most of us think not

90 mins ago I had the chance of crashing into the Ellison’s coach just before it arrived at Arsenal’s training ground. Upset their pre match routine with at least an hours delay arrival at their hotel and likely longer. And then I realised that they could turn up with their U21’s five mins before kick off tomorrow and take 3 points home so I decided not to ….. (not sure why this is in the Ruud thread)

Thats business fair play to adidas the next PL ball deal should end up being adidas but I bet that Nike give the PL a brilliant deal to keep it with them and we will suffer second class offside calls as a consequence

It’s not the same as those though Ashley. They all use adidas which has a chip in the ball to establish exactly when the ball is struck and to freeze the 3D imaging. (Patented tech) PL has Nike balls, fa cup is mitre - so I assume that the var still has to pinpoint the frame that the ball is struck and the tech then takes over from there. Not as accurate and will take longer. Imo it’s bollux because the freeze frame is unreliable and the 3D tech will give offside for a mm. So whilst we have quicker decisions (not as quick as those comps you mentioned) I am certain we’ll have incorrect decisions based on the freeze being inaccurate.
