Absolutely not incompetence and impotence isn’t about taking sides tbf, their mission involved other stuff which they may/may not have been any good at.

UNIFIL hasn’t managed to get in the way of Hezbollah’s weapons and fighters for 16 years which is effectively what it was put there for ……. 10,000 UNIFIL staff to maintain a demilitarised zone south of the litani …… what do you reckon ……… 2/10 at a push on the basis that they’ve been turning up for work and living away from home.

He’s not the messiah ……

Given her likely contribution I’d say her missing large chunks of the meetings can only be positive

If trump gets back then at least he can’t serve more than 4 years and it’s also a positive that he wouldn’t have had an 8 year straight stretch because he may have made a bigger mess of stuff if he had. I guess the question will be the make up of the senate and congress during his term.
-
My point is that it becomes tougher to challenge trump for his hyperbole and gerrymandered stuff when you’ve engaged in it yourself

Some chat in the media that a few clubs were happy to be able to stick to the narrative that they couldn’t spend any more than they were due to PSR now concerned that Man City’s challenge to APT, if successful to the extent that rules are changed, could cause fanbases to wonder why their owners aren’t putting more of their dosh into the club.

Would have been funnier watching him trying to work out where the front page is if they’d said yes!

When I was younger it was much tougher to commit genocide and be a nazi ……… it was never forecast to be anything more than high cat 3/low cat 4 at landfall. They shouldn’t be speaking about Milton downgrading in strength other than with a comment ‘as expected’ before they say it and pushing the narrative that it’s the storm surge and tornado activity as much as the hurricane force winds which will be life threatening.

Or the last time the Tory members voted for a leader …..

More like the economic viability of rebuilding against the statical likelihood of it being decimated again within a period will become the question. Human nature will mean that people will still rebuild though - however wont be able to get insurance and these communities will dwindle as a consequence. There are physical characteristics of certain coastal locations that make them more prone to the flooding - I’m guessing that communities will slowly relocate away from these and find areas which are more ‘secure’.
-
Winds on the coast when it hits are predicted to be max 110mph. The issue is the storm surge because of its track - the wind will effectively drive the gulf waters into the west coast of florida, south of the track. Storm surge could be 10/15 feet (with waves atop that)

Yes - we’re talking about the average American ……. and yes, we voted for brexit

Harris is having some tricky interviews last couple days. will the republicans go all in on the basis that she won’t be able to step up whereas their guy has done it already ??? basically that you can trust trump whereas you have no idea whether Harris can do the job
-
Hamas would prefer ‘the genocide’ therein lies the problem on one side clearly sig issues on the other too but being comfortable to see their people go through such horrendous trauma isn’t one of them

We already swapped that debt for equity not sure how much owner debt is left. (If at all) They wont be able to apply retrospective interest costs because clubs have been following the rules as they were understood I reckon things will change for season ending 25/26 ref commercial interest costs being applied to owner debt

There is a risk for his opponents that if he gets a ceasefire in Gaza (with the return of any living hostages) then a continuation of war against hezbollah will build his support base further. mind you, I think sinwar is alive to this and will attempt to exact a high price (probably many high value prisoners released ). Sinwar should try to connect Gaza and Lebanon to avoid this happening. Actually - that window is narrowing again !
-
sinwar should be in Gaza …….. I believe that the IDF had him in a location after they took control of the philadelphi corridor Hezbollah had said that a ceasefire in Gaza would mean they stopped lobbing rockets into n Israel (with responses) - that was before Israel upped the ante on them. a ceasefire requires both sides to ceasefire and I can’t see Israel letting them re equip and re establish their military structure. This gives BN the chance to agree something in Gaza whilst still keeping the country at war in the north- a fight which does have wide domestic support
-
Some of my thoughts have been way off the mark but with reports from channel 12 in Israel that sinwar has made contact with negotiators (after many weeks of nothing) and from yesterday that Israel think they’ve destroyed every tunnel under the Philadelphi corridor into Egypt, I think the window for a ceasefire deal in Gaza is as large as it’s been for many months. (add that domestically BN is no longer totally reliant on some of the ultra right for his majority) with war ongoing with Hezbollah, BN doesn’t need war in Gaza to maintain his premiership. (At the moment).

the PL have issued statements that the tribunal found mainly for the PL and it was mainly these interest free loans which they had issues with. I suppose that means APT is good to continue - just that the loans must be declared and interest paid (or they’re not allowed) wonder if this will be backdated to 2021 where clubs will be required to take interest on the loans into account on their psr returns this season ? That will be cheaper than having to pay compensation to Man City
-
Isn’t it the opposite of that ? That shareholder loans should be included and because they aren’t, the APT rules are unenforceable????
-
I’m seeing some reports of polling in swing states that should alarm Harris are these erroneous ??

Sky got their selection wrong ……..
