I've been saying that for Months, Plus he is improving getting forward he's intelligent and just needs time to improve further. More importantly he doesn't get injured and rarely misses games. for any manager that's a big plus.

Watford (a) Post-Match Thread (2-1 defeat)

Another winnable game slips away, but there are mitigating circumstances for it. You cannot push the players that hard with games every 3,4 Days. no matter how much they're paid. It's nothing to do with the players not trying or anything. It's all to do with recovery. I'm not talking about the fitness recovery which has actually looked really good. It's more to do with the little knocks, the bruises, the strains to knees hips etc. The skint Toes and Heels, making it difficult to run and chase. It's an accumulation of all of the above that slows players down. Then you throw in selections from the Manager who i still getting to know the players. Our lack of a physical presence was exposed again yesterday just like against Palace. Aside from the result I took a lot of positives from yesterday's game. There's no doubt our ability to pass and move is improving with every game and some of the first half play was very encouraging. Mahrez is now growing and evolving into the world class player some on here thought he already was. He's working harder and taking up better positions and his unselfish play is a joy to watch as a purest. I just hope we can hold on to him while we keep building. The quality of the Goals against Utd and yesterday and the chances we created and missed. All positives for the future. It will be interesting to see who Puel brings in to fill the obvious gaps. So while the result wasn't good yesterday, the signs are looking better for the future. We just need to keep the faith with the clubs plans. -
They play 3 at the back so opportunities to create chances. They try to boss midfield and take the game to the opposition. We might have to go long and quick to Fray and Vardy. But I do believe this is winnable.

Happy Christmas one and all Leicester Fans, and here's too a better 2018 than 2017 beginning with the introduction of Silva and a Euro qualification.

So many stars it's difficult to pick a MOTM. Albrighton for his all round game and the final Ball. NDidi for his frequent interceptions but mostly for the quickness of thought and quality of the Ball to Mahrez. Mahrez for his sublime skill but mostly for the unselfish way he set up Vardy for the first Goal. But I think Maguire just shades it for his all round game all over the pitch, And to way he took his goal to get us the point. There's others who deserve mention also, Vardy, Morgan and Okazaki. -
I love him to bits because he epitomizes the commitment needed when you take to the pitch, even if he doesn't play his best you can never question his effort. I'm sure he'd play in Goal for us if asked, That's how much he loves us. But what a quality cross he put in for the Goal. He completely took the defense out of it with the Dept on the cross. He can't be far from an England call up.

Harry Maguire will be a big player for us.

Kante never wanted to be here and Drinkwater only wanted to go when it was Chelsea. Look how that turned out for him and we also got stupid money. That deal probably ranks as one of our best ever. The Club don't want or need to sell our best players now. Obviously if the player wants out then that might change things. At the end of the day every player has his price as Spurs proved with Bale and more recently Pogba. We have the nucleus of a very good team, it's just a matter of filling certain positions with better quality going forward, Not selling our best players. -

We're not a selling Club anymore, It's time the so called big Clubs realize that. But I also hope we have him on a 5 year Contract. -
I think they like the fact that he works directly with them on the training ground and they can see the merit of his Coaching. He reminds me a little of Sir Alf who also had a very quiet disposition and he didn't do too badly.
-
Exactly, The best thing allround is for him to be loaned out and get the game time he so badly needs.
-
That's 3 free kick goals he's conceded lately. Opposition are targeting him now that they know his weakness. It was an excellent free kick, But it was savable if he went for it with his left hand instead of his right. People giving Amartey stick for an innocuous sending off and yet Kasper does that. Yes he has some good points but his bad one's keep costing us Goals. We need to get someone on the post to help him for these free kicks, If only to create doubt in the kickers mind.
-
Not only that but a young and inexperienced player. He should have spoken to him like top refs do. People on here need to get a grip. He's not been paid as much as Simpson, Morgan, or Kasper.for a reason. He's not at their level yet. The chap needs games and a good Coach to help him. If Puel is as good a Coach as I think he is he'll encourage him slowly and he'll get better. Also our Development squad hasn't lost in 17 games and yet not one of the defense was considered good enough to replace Simpson. That tells it's own story.
-
Other than a degree of naivety I don't blame him for anything. He was trying to impress and possibly a little too eager. The second yellow was a joke by the ref. On the touchline with no danager and he barely touched Young. I'm sure he;ll learn from it.
-
He's a shit Bag and should be banned from the english game.
-
No chance when you go for it with the wrong hand. We'd be better going with someone on the post to make up the Kickers mind .
-
I'm really proud of our Team. Too a man they kept going until the end and got their reward. Moss is shit and should be retired. How he didn't give a Penalty for Smalling climbing all over Maguire defies understanding.
-
More Money, Spurs are miserable when it comes to paying their players.
-
Hughes looks like a proper player. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him get a run out with first team before the years end. He certainly know how to score at a corner which is someone we could do with. He gets up early and is over the Ball which gives him the power and ability the keep it down and on target. There's quite a lot of talent in the Squad, Whether they get the chance here remains to be seen.
-
Your're quite right. It's the Managers job to decide who takes Penalties. It is normally someone who is a good kicker of the Ball to begin and has the confidence to do it. As said already the obvious one from our current squad are Fuchs, Iborra, Maguire. Maybe Gray also. If Puel doesn't step up and make the decision then to me it shows a weakness and he's letting the Players have too much control. This usually is a bad trait and ends in misery. The first thing any successful club needs is a strong Manager.
-
Yes I've just read it was a 1 game Ban.
-
I only seen him play once for Sporting but I wasn't impressed. He didn't strike me as being very quick either which also worries me. But I'm hoping it was just a one off bad game.
-
I like that line up,. I'd also like to see Albrighton for Chilwell and Gray because he can stretch them, But we'd lose Okazaki's combative element. So save Gray for 2nd Half. We know they are beatable if we can just not be so wasteful with the Ball. After the Week we've had a draw would be a good result.
-
I've always liked Amartey. He was a rough Diamond when he came here. He has all of the attributes you need in the modern game. All he lacks is experience which I hope we will see him get more game time.
-
Let's hope Puel and the players learned the lesson and we move on with more determination in future games. Mind you if he wins tomorrow nights Cup match Saturdays game will be quickly forgotten and rightly so.
-
That's the beauty of the game we all see it differently. I agree he's done brilliant. I was only referring to this one game. While he has done well so far he's also had a good degree of luck in some games. Spurs for example. I just think there was an attitude we just had to turn up on Saturday. I know I'm being picky, but I want us to get to the next level and you do that by covering everything you can before the game. After the players take to the pitch anything can happen.
