  1. Our only hope is Mads is back for this one otherwise it will be very embarrassing if Ward is still in Goal.
  2. This could be the first 10 nil I think in the Premiership.
  3. On the plus side, The only Team worse than us presently is Man City.
  4. You can't blame Ruud for any of this. He can only play what's available to him.
  5. I think that's 6 Ward has picked out of the Goal without getting a hand to any of them.
  6. He'd do well playing off a big man but on his own as a striker neither skillful enough or quick enough.
  7. A GK that can keep a clean sheet. Something we have'nt seen for a while.
  8. We wasted another 25 million on a very average Footballer that we could have found in league 1. It's not his fault though Yes he can do a job but he lacks the quality we clearly need to move us forward. We were never winning yesterday's game no matter what linup we put out. Newcastle were really up for it from the start. The problem is we now have another player on a long Contract not really up to the job we need doing. That's relegation waiting to happen for sure.
  9. He was a good signing Sadly injuries and time has caught up with him.
  10. Yes, Puels signings were mostly very good. I think Fofana was down to him also. He certainly left Rogers a good squad to work with. Rogers is a good Coach but has his limitations as we know well. He also cost us European Football not once but twice in failing to replace Ulloa in the the squad. Any half decent CF would have got us the goals and few points necessary to qualify. The less said about Congerton the better.
  11. We have to hope Ruud has a good eye for signings and brings in a few good Coaches from Holland to help him. This is the area we need to spend what's needed first. Then the rest will fall into place.
  12. No it's not personnel and it's not all Rudkins fault either. The only mistake Pearson made when in charge was not replacing him. He was so far down the line managing the under 8s or something Pearson didn't see think it necessary to go that far down the line or see him as a threat. While he must have been engraciating himself to Top. Puel knows the game well and was lied too when here and got a raw deal in my opinion. He was asked to rebuild the team and he'd be given time. Then when we lost a few games and the fans were moaning he was sacked. He certainly proved he had a good eye for players during his time here. He'd be a good DOF.
  13. Who is going to pay him 50k a week so we're stuck with him. It really is embarrassing how poorly the Football side of the Club is run since Pearson left.
  14. Again you have to say that's down to Rudkin as DOF.
  15. Rudkin has to go I think if KP are serious about sorting out the mess. A proper proven DOF is needed urgently. It's annoying in that we have Pearson who we know could do a job but it seems him and Rudkin didn't get on. Puel or Moyes are 2 others who could do a good job too.
  16. This is where it all starts. I'd say 2 GKs are enough as they dont get injured too often and you still have the Dev Squad Keeper for back up if needed.
  17. The real problem we have is there's nobody with the inside Football knowledge at the Club. Not Top Whelan and certainly not Rudkin. Imagine where we might be if we had offered Enzo more money to stay. That's how import the right Manager is. But you also have to have the right personnel behind him in support and working together.
  18. If Mads has to go in the Summer I'd stick with Stolarcyzk and Iversen and spend the money on the Team. I'd also reduce the squad to 16 to 18 at most and use the savings to bring in Quality over Quantity. We won the league with 14 or 15 players I think. We won the Championship with a similar number. Thats more than a big enough squad with the Development sqaud as further back up.
  19. It really is atrocious management. There's no incentive for Ward to agree to anything unless we make it a lump sum of some sort. The problem with that is it's a direct hit on the yearend accounts for psr. We can't even amortise it over the rest of his contract which Clubs should be allowed do. If he get a contract for 1k aweek he'll be lucky. Choudhury is a little different. He can fill a few outfield positions if needed like today. However you have to make some allowances for his lack of game time. But again you have to question who decided to give him 50k a week. ? for a bit part player with limited experience. Basic salary with big pay as you play bonuses is the way forward for Clubs like us. Get back to our model of the Pearson era.
  20. Because Pearson was sacked, Then Rudkin got promoted as DOF and it pretty much has went downhill from there. We allowed Managers to change personnel etc when we should have kept the core of what Pearson builf intact. We need to get back to basics. How do you do that, By signing people with a proven record of having done it before like Pearson, Walsh or Puel. If we have to go down again so be it provided we get the right people into place.
  21. The big problem is who is going to take either of them when we're paying them a reported 50k a week. Madness I agree though we need to get rid even if we have to pay them off which is not easy. Then be an awful lot smarter going forward with pay as you play contracts plus results. I very much doubt Brentford are paying anyone 50k a week and look where they are in the league.
  22. He's already saved us more than that this season. If we're to stay up we need him to keep performing at the same level he has todate. While Ruud hopefully sorts out the rest of the squad quickly.
  23. Can someone tell me what he offers because I've seen very little redeeming qualities in Skipp. I'm sure we could have got more quality from league 1 or 2. There must be some midfield talent down there with a level of Skill.
  24. Agree with your first part. I was expecting him to run them ragged down the left But he's totally lost his confidence. Another problem with Mav is he doesn't fully understand the game yet. He's got where he is by running rings around defenders most weeks since childhood. Now he's at a different level and is a little lost. Not uncommon with some players. He needs help from the Coaches and I have'nt seen much to date which is an inditement of the Coaches. Lets hope Ruud brings in some top Dutch Coaches to help him and help the players improve individually and get us out of this mess.
  25. He's had too many chances now for me. Time to get rid asap. Even if we dont have cover for him.
