I think the acceptance that this era will one day end makes it much more enjoyable, and also helps soften the disappoints i.e. missing the top four. I really don't want to get into the habit of expecting success, just look at half the supporters of the rich 6, miserable 90% of the time. Think the argument has been a bit oversimplified here. I’m not sad that England won, and my dissociation with England isn’t because they haven’t done well at tournaments. I’m not even trying convince anyone to agree with my point of view. I’m genuinely just stating how I felt yesterday: I was actually disappointed when Kane scored the rebound. I didn’t decide to feel that, and I’d have much preferred to be dancing around my flat shouting and singing believe me. But you can’t fake those emotions and they’re just not there for me. And, again, I am ‘genuinely okay’, can we please stop associating football feelings with mental instability, at the end of the day it’s not that deep.

You needn’t be concerned about people who think differently to you. For many people the England national team, and the multitude of bell ends who have turned out for it, has done nothing in our lifetimes to build anywhere near the level of connection that Leicester has. Especially considering what Kasper has done/been through during his 10 years here, I don’t think it’s that hard to understand why people may have this opinion.
