Hard one for me. I like Wagner, a lot. In his first season ever as a first team manager, he got Huddersfield promoted, in his second, he was in with a good shot of keeping them up. That' impressive. I think he has all the makings of a great coach..... Is he right for us right now though? You could argue we need a bit of experience and with Huddersfield not winning one game from a losing position this year? Can he be trusted to rebuild the team, which is looking like is going to have to be the case. I wouldnt be too unhappy with his appointment but it' is quite the risk.

Who should we sign (asset strip) from relegated clubs
Scotch replied to On our way...'s topic in Transfer Talk
Evans and Shaqiri are a must for me. Would get interesting if Southampton went down because I'd take Foster, Tadic, Ward-Prowse, Davis, Bertrand and maybe Austin..... -
Central midfield (maybe even the whole spine of the team) is the issue for me. We have players like Iborra and Silva who look the part on paper but we are losing games in the middle of the park. They are not keeping the ball or even getting it forward quickly like we used to which is both limiting our ability to create chances AND constantly putting the defenders under pressure. We need to address this issue. Ndidi is a mainstay for me, as is McGuire and Vardy. Find partners for those three and build the team from there. A centre mid who is comfortable on the ball but can cover ground is a must. I would take a punt at Steven Davis of Southampton. He's getting on so would be short term but is the complete midfielder, or even noble from West ham. Both be cheap enough, both realistic. Underwhelming sure but steady.

Inheacho is absolutely garbage!

What has to be considered when thinking about his price is, how much have we investested in him? Since signing his last contract he' walked away with 7.7 MILLION. Before that he probaby took about 1.5 MILLION on his first contract with us. Factor in the 400.000 we paid for him, signing on fees, bonuses etc and you'e probably talking around the 12 MILLION pound Mark. So take that into consideration and think of Man City and their 50 MILLION + player offer and what they are really offering is 38 Million profit and a player who's wages, signing bonus etc will then eat into that profit..... Doesn' look like a great deal.

Chillwell was diabolical, so was ndidi. James looked like he won a contest to play for his team. Albrighton was shocking and Gray and Vardy may as well have been keeping Mahrez co.pany wherever the fuch he was hiding.

Absolute ****ing shambles.

I wonder if there is anyone in the market for a LB..... If we sub him at HT he can easily make a medical somewhere! It also appears that Gray is keeping Mahrez company wherever the fuch he is because he' definitely not on the pitch.
-
Rio Ferdinand posted a video of him at Wembley and claimed Mahrez just walked past him. (Sorry if this has been mentioned)
-
This is what will happen.
-
Swansea chairman on SSN just there mentioned him by name and said they hope to have it done in the next hour.
-
Such a young lad that gets injured a couple of times a season. I REALLY doubt that he was the player. Seems very unlikely that they would offer a player who they would have to recall and wouldn' pass a medical. Plus it would be a fairly shoddy way to treat Celtic.
-
No it wasn't. Why would the deal include a player who is currently on loan AND injured?
-
Roberts is out on loan AND injured (as usual) so it won' be him.
-
Fair comment.

A striker to replace not only a winger but probably the best winger we've ever had? And not just ANY striker but one who can' Cement himself as Celtics first choice striker......

I Would have Chris Wood back in a heartbeat.

City 5-1 The Posh FA Cup 4 Round Post Match Thread

Diabate was impressive. Granted it was Peterborough but what I liked about him is he always looked to play the pass. Wanted to be part of the build up. Hope he kicks on. Ian Nacho again is starting to look the player we signed. Gray pissed me off massively. I' a fan but he was greedy on the ball yet was constantly throwing his arms around when he didn' het the pass. -
Ben Arfa - PSG Jack Wishire - Arsenal Bernard - Donestk Max Meyer - shalke Milan Badalj - Florentina Oguzhan Ozyakup - Besiktas Leo Dubois - Nantes Ivan Marcano - Porto Stefan De Vrij - Lazio A few seemingly unrealistic names there but I don' think it could hurt to through some money at them before the world cup starts and see what sticks.
-
Inn on agreement with many on here about not needing anyone this window ( unless a big hitter leaves) but I do think we should get a jump on the summer signings. There are some cracking players available on pre contracts just now and I don' see the harm in floating a few contracts in front of them just now.

Leicester City have put Almamy Touré on their shortlist Premier League side Leicester City have shortlisted AS Monaco full-back Almamy Touré as a potential alternative target to Marseille wide-man Bouna Sarr for this month, according to France Football. Touré, 21, is potentially on the market as he seeks regular playing time for as quickly as possible, currently blocked from achieving so at Monaco, stuck behind Djibril Sidibé in the pecking order. The player’s current deal runs until 2019, Monaco desperately want to keep him.

Totally agree. We'e not recovered from losing Ngolo and we'e been doomed to playing one style of football because we'e not had a strong CM. Now we do and we can play possesson football as well as our traditional style. I can also see Mandy coming in next year and being like a new signing due to his past with Puel which would make us even stronger. With this in mind, I'd like to see us go to 433. It means we're keeping these guys happy and we can dominate midfield in games. It would also allow a forward 3 of Gray, Vardy and Mahrez to do what they do knowing we are solid behind them. -

Matty James was excellent today. Not saying Iborra has deserved to be dropped but Matty is definitely earning his spot on that pitch. With Silva looking the part to, Puel has some decisions to make but it's a great position to be in, having 4 on form CM's
