Can Foxes Talk influence Managerial decisions ?
Dan Gliballs replied to Elsie Effcee's topic in Leicester City Forum
Never? no. Rarely? sure. Either way it's hardly a fair comparison. One is generally a mass organised gathering, the other is a mostly anonymous space on the internet for fans to express their feelings. -
Can Foxes Talk influence Managerial decisions ?
Dan Gliballs replied to Elsie Effcee's topic in Leicester City Forum
Possibly. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the board members of a multi-million pound football club in the top flight of the most prestigious league in world football read an internet forum full of emotional petulant supporters and base their business decisions off their thoughts and feelings. -
Shame Forest play Southampton later then.

New GK’s a bit of a mouthful though.

I’m not necessarily backing the idea, but what makes you say that? Everything I’ve personally read, and heard, points to Pearson and the family having quite a warm, and respectful relationship.

Wesley Fofana - He is no more - finished - forgotten.
Dan Gliballs replied to Sly's topic in Transfer Talk
Not necessarily true, there can be numerous variables for the employer, and employee equally, as with any contract, it’s all in the specific terms, not always voided simply with a new proposal. In any case, it’s irrelevant. A contract of sale (which this effectively is), and contract of employment, are separate contracts. Any ‘buy back’ option, would be negotiated in the contract of sale. -

Try as we might, it involves CG wanting the move himself. Off the back of a good loan spell at palace, he’s going to want at least a season at Chelsea to try and make an impact, I’d seriously doubt he’s interested in moving to Leicester (or any other linked club tbf), even with the WC this winter. -
Forest promoted to the prem!

Bet they wish they kept hold of it too. A good one now’s worth a small fortune. -
A lot of talk of Madders missing out on an England call up, I’m equally surprised Wes hasn’t been called to the main France squad after the end to the season he’s had.

Underwhelming signings that you were wrong about
Dan Gliballs replied to foxfanazer's topic in Leicester City Forum
Knocky. Bit harsh to say underwhelming, but certainly not expecting him to do what he did. Not the quickest on the pitch, but the first player I found really exciting to watch for a good while. Joey Gudjonsson and Matt Oakley deserve a mention from me too. -
Football clichés that you can't stand

“These are some of the best fans in the world” Usually when referencing Liverpool fans. Why? Because they have a good singsong before the game? Used to hate the bumming of Portsmouth fans in their prem years too, all because some c*** in the stands rang a bell for 90 minutes -
It continues past Ashby and Moira and on to Burton. It’s used almost exclusively for stone traffic from Bardon Hill. Trains run between Bardon and Leicester or Burton as required. Through trains running the length of the line are very rare and usually a freight diversion. There have been mutterings about opening the line to passenger traffic ever since the first phase of the Ivanhoe line was reinstated in the early 90s, but the short of it is the traffic is unlikely to warrant the investment. Given Aggregate Industries have just been given approval to blow up another fuching big hole to dig out another 130 odd million tonnes of granite over the next four decades, it’s safe to say the line is going nowhere.

Never heard of that one. Is it Thai for Sweet Caroline?

I feel for the genuine fans of these clubs, however as far as the vile, greedy, poorly run clubs themselves go, I’m really going to enjoy watching them rot away under the weight of their own self created mess.

For the most part, fans can be quick to criticise, and are generally then easy to please. Not saying neither Madders or Perez covered themselves in glory last season, but the anger is multiplied when the fans feel they’re not good enough in games. But you only have to look at Danny Simpson for a recent example of how easy fans forget about anything off the pitch when they play well on it. If Maddison has a belter of a season, which he is more than capable of doing, you watch the tide of opinion change.

Bardon Hill it is then!

Be very surprised if Grealish doesn't start the game. Gareth's a very astute man manager, and I wouldn't be surprised if he appeases Jack from his sub on, sub off by telling him he'll start the final. Other than that I'd expect the same lineup and formation as Germany, baring any injury concerns. It'll probably be a pretty drab first 45 minutes if there's no early goal, a cagey game where a set piece could easily win it.
-
It's an easy one for me. He's wearing Denmark colours tonight, not Leicester. He and his team stand in the way of my nation, of which I support getting to a tournament final. I love the guy, but tonight he's the opposition, and therefore the enemy until the game is over.

I’m sure you were. Many were not. I was one of them. Back to the point in hand, I think Benitez particularly is a very underrated manager, and has achieved quite a lot in his career. I wouldn’t be too surprised to see him get Everton into a position where they are challenging for top four.
-
Benitez and Nuno may both be un-glitzy appointments that are far from appealing to the fans. But thinking back to when we signed Ranieri after sacking off Pearson, many an eyebrow were raised, and look how that turned out. I won’t be so quick to cast aside Spurs or Everton as no threat whatsoever, it has the potential to be rather embarrassing
