Fair point with the versatility. I just would prefer to spend half that money to sign a CB and a GK which I think would improve the team more. We could have Kane up front but if we ship goals like we do, it ain’t getting us far. It all comes down to budget, if we have enough funds to get him in and invest why not. If we are as skint as is being said, I’m not sure it is the best option for the club.

Agree I haven’t said he won’t be better. However to spend 40 million, which could be are whole budget when we could get 2/3 players to improve the starting 11 would be madness.

Needed a goal or two and whilst he cannot play that role, Thomas certainly won’t be getting us a goal.

I do agree but he has Vestergaard (who he signed) and Cags who he has frozen out. His choices certainly for the later.

To be fair to BR, whether you are in or out, our first 11 with the current injuries is poor with a few exceptions. No one can defend bringing on Mendy surely, why? May as well leave Braybrooke and Co at home if they aren’t getting a game. The game was done, no pressure tell the lad to enjoy it.

No patterns of play, long ball tactics, weather and pitch won’t help but this is dreadful
