Enzo Maresca's First Press Conference as Manager

Gonna need bigger biceps, I hope! -
I agree, FBS is a dubious sponsor, but in addition the font used was horrible and out of keeping with the rest of the shirt. A King Power "Thunderbirds" shirt for me!

James Maddison completes move to Spurs

Yeah, it hurts but we had our money's worth, and sold for more than we paid. So a good bit of business for all. -
Looking at the fixtures, it looks like Wednesday is the midweek fixture night. Is that a new thing, or is it just because it's us?

Dr. Mark Waller has left - Head of Medical

Don't diss him. He was always willing to do housecalls at any time, and no one had to see him a second time... -
He has his moments. Puts the fear into the opposition too, I remember his tackle on Salah.

Sounds like the sort of play that works for Man City. We are going to take a while to play that style rather than boot it upfield and chase.
-
Is it really the "Thunderbirds kit"? If so I would be tempted, I have the one with Alliance and Leicester on it, in which we last got relegated from the PL. Stylistically my favourite.
-
Some decent teams with long and rich football heritage on that map. Anyone underestimating the Championship competition is going to get a rude awakening.

Refusing to accept what has happened is the way to stay down. It is a different league and competition, and we do need to adjust. Immediate promotion is possible, but unlikely as we have a lot of rebuilding to do. Sure, fairweather fans who believe that football begins and ends in the PL may well piss off, but some of us have supported in the Championship and below before. It is character building. Relegation is shit, but not the end of the line for me and City.

Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?

Well, would Marsch have done as poorly as Smith, with his one dimensional hoofball? -

Yes, since Smith came we have been playing without a midfield. Ndidi is past it and Tielemans not up to much now. Mendy, KDH or Praet would have been better, albeit not great. -

It may well be our last PL game for some years. -

Championship Starting XI - First Game Of The Season
foxinsox replied to a topic in Leicester City Forum
Big Nige would be great, but he said himself that that ship has sailed. Sadly, I think another relegation scrap beckons in the Championship. That's how bad it is. -
More games though! And to be fair weren't prices frozen when we got promoted too?
-
In the vanishing possibility that we do stay up, we lose our few competent players, make lacklustre signings and spend the whole season in the relegation zone being pummelled like a dockside sex worker. Then get relegated. I would almost rather drop now and get it over with.

Forest 100% And Coventry to not get promoted.

Southampton win?

Perhaps we should play with a midfield next week.
-
On the other hand, the Women are likely to stay up...

Dean Smith New Interim Manager - Official

Perhaps would have been better with Marsch... -
Well, it has been a fun 10 years, with a PL and FA Cup win, but what a shameful way to collapse with no fight in them.
-
I would put us more like 50/50, but those figures look pretty accurate to me. We ain't done yet, this is going to the last match.
