Yes, they are pushing for the playoffs, so will go for it.
-
This run in is going to be stressful!
-
Give Marcal a chance sometime.
-
A key signing if we go up is a dead ball specialist. KDH just isn't good enough with them.
-
To be honest, I don't mind. Ipswich, Southampton or Leeds are much more interesting to watch, much as it pains me to admit.
-
The only thing that gives me hope is that they are away fixtures. I think the pressure at home games is getting to them.

A run of away games is a good thing I'm sure. Are we Spurs in disguise?

Indeed a great way to keep the reserves match fit and pushing for a first team place. It's always good to win. -

It would be nice to see a Chelsea backlash against Leeds. A good test of Enzo's system tonight. It might just work if we go up. -

Fatawu goal great stuff, but best game from Hamza in ages. He can play when he stays awake! -
I don't think Ndidi will sign an extension. If he was going to it would have happened already. He would be wise to do so, otherwise he will be a sub elsewhere. Vestergatd will get a new contract and rightly so, crazy as that seems from this time next year. I year for Vardy as a super-sub.

Daka is the dogs bollocks. Doubters shut up!
-
He's so anonymous that it's like playing without him. He hasn't touched the ball.
-
Doyle did grand until his injury. He was flat against Brum but good against Swansea. Willing to be a bruiser too. He had Swansea's Ronald in his pocket or on his arse!

The big difference in this year's playing around at the back is that we are conceding far fewer goals than last year. Of course part of this is a lower standard of opposition, but that isn't the entirety. Many of the teams that we are stifling have been freely scoring against other teams. Our defence is working, and while it makes me anxious we have rarely screwed it up. The team is going to change for next season. A number of players are out of contract in the summer, and there will be new signings that fit Enzo's system. It's not going to be easy to switch to a different style if it all goes wrong in the autumn. It isn't thrill a minute stuff but the table doesn't lie. It works and will take us up.

Both him and Stephy looked cold and bored standing on the touchline while the back 5 passed amongst themselves. They were completely isolated apart from short bursts.

Nonsense. No one else could have put that ball through for KDH. He made that penalty. He took the shot that rebounded fron a Swansea defender for Yunus to score. Sure he missed a couple too, but once again largely opportunities he had created himself. Those are the breaks, and he is our most creative striker, albeit one who could improve further. I see why Enzo rates him. The Swansea team could see it too, which is why they chopped him down so much. Look for his assist for Zambia against the DRC in AFCON for him being scythed down and a quick recovery. Put me down as a Daka fan.

What a Difference a Decade Makes ... Same Results, DIfferent Vibe

The problem with getting the crowd enthused is that we have "edge of our seats" football. It isn't "edge of our seats" due to creative flowing football, it is "edge of our seats" anxiety that the team will blow it by a missed pass while passing it around the back 5. We saw that a lot last season, and while Enzo-ball is different, we have seen a few leads blown by it this season, and lots more threatened. It affects the team too. They looked rejuvenated by the second goal and played with excitement and purpose again. I understand the point of playing possession deep in our half to draw the opponent forward and out of position. The table doesn't lie, but it isn't thrilling to watch. The test will be with that system against teams in the PL. Away at Bournemouth will be a test, though probably one for the reserves.- 82 replies

LCFC Vs. Birmingham City (3-0 W) Post Match Thread

I was in the east stand and thought he had a great game when he came on. Terrible first half and we were very lucky to go in at half time nil nil. Hamza and Doyle was particularly poor, but no one looked good. Cover was fine and made some good moves. Great triple sub changed the game and 2016 style Albrighton/Vardy goal. Everybody stepped up and even Hamza looked competent, but Ricardo, Akgun, Praet and Cannon stood out. We have good back ups on the bench and through the academy, and Doyle will get back into the team with more game time. The youngsters looked fine. Hamza the weak link yesterday, couldn't manage the Winks role and made too many mistakes. I think he needs to play further forward like Ndidi, as had good moments too. -
Looks like Daka will be back home for the weekend. Zambia go out at the group stage.

Leicester 1-1 Ipswich Post Match Thread
foxinsox replied to Muzzy_no7's topic in Leicester City Forum
Frustrated. We should have had 6 points from Ipswich, and came away with two. I think we would have done better with JJ at left back, Ricardo as right inverted fullback, and Hamza playing further forward with KDH. Mavadidvi was very isolated with the left back inverted, with little support, despite beating his man so often. Subs too late, we were noticeably flagging towards the end. I still think we will win the division, but why oh why do we always have to do it the hard way? -
Come on Dennis! Do a Vestergard and prove the sceptics wrong. Please
