Genuinely players and fans seem confused and not sure what the plan is and whilst even the biggest Enzo fan would have said it would have been a challenge to carry on how we were its is baffling as to what he is trying to achieve ! whether he is tactically adept or not it is not working and we have not improved since the friendly at Shrewsbury and whilst all good managers start by building from clean sheets you need a way to play when you have the ball especially at home. his system may suit away games as it is defensive and break but like on Saturday where somehow we have got ahead he cannot change a game or even manage a game through this approach. we will not stay up imo with him in charge and every game the board meanders may stop us having a chance - if there is discontentment inside the squad it is only a matter of time and the next 3 games are massive as all of them are 6 pointers. it would take a really strong board and plan to remove him with someone lined up like a Moyesy but I just cannot see as 2 years ago we faced the same type of dilemma and the board waited too long whilst someone like Villa took a strong decision and brought in an Emery! this squad is way weaker than the one that went down but we would have a chance with a strong, decisive and tactical manager - we do not have that and I would be absolutely flabbergasted if he keeps us up and is still in a job in February !

Agreed not part of the bigger issue but definitely would not be part of the answer imo - he’s adequate at best and brings so little to the team - Justin could perform this role equally as well and bring more energy and natural defensive qualities allowing Riccy to play right back imo! VK should be back up and no more - he is like a rabbit in headlights and I have not seen a more nervous and frenetic footballer than VK (maybe Dan Amartey) which I think for me shows he is not good enough and it is no coincidence that teams target our left hand side !

Vichai would have pulled the trigger now although I doubt he would have overseen his appointment in the first place. We seem to have gone backwards massively despite an instant promotion as the ambition would be to really go for getting a tactical leader in who could outperform the ability in this squad rather than one that is sucking the life out of the team and all of us as fans - horrendous appointment and only made worse by the fact we won’t act !!
-
McKenna has these at it and has a structure - they will get better defensively and they have a threat …..whereas we seem to have no clue
-
Everton will not be near the bottom 3 than less they have a points deduction…..palace and Bournemouth maybe plus the 3 promoted sides - I can’t see anything other than saints, us and town going down although Ipswich have the best manager and have the best chance of staying up

I agree wholeheartedly on BCD however I do think Ayew could be useful as he has a high work rate and has a great attitude which will also help Fatawu and Mavididi but your right two signings like this made no sense at all! -

He needs to go as he is clueless tactically but we need a replacement lined up like Moyes who is tactically way ahead of him however who is the fodder ? I think we still need a tactical masterclass to keep us up as I cannot see where our goals come from and every squad except ITFC and Saints have more match winners than us and I think our summer window will be our undoing coupled with keeping cooper any longer ? just interested why people believe our squad is that good it’s not imo -

Any streams would be much appreciated -
It’s VK who is the weak link we should be switching JJ to play Riccy…….Saka will tear him a new one

Sod the players I am not happy it’s bloody crap 😂😂

Personally agree with the statements that I think a number of targets may have been stalling due to the points deduction hanging over us however I am not a big believer in changing your manager a la Watford but I would make an exception here. this squad is competitive although it will need a really good tactical leader as defensively we are limited with no natural left back, maybe two decent centre half’s and a midfield that needs a plan. Cooper looks and sounds clueless but worse for me is the players look a rabble with no plan and a lack of any direction. A brave board would step forward and make a really tough decision but I would not go anywhere near Potter but Moyes would keep this squad in the division but points now are critical to get a start as some of the other teams we will be competing with for survival have not started well either !
-
What do you think now ? I know it is painful but there squad and manager is better than ours ….fact
-
He is a quality centre half when fit and would undoubtedly strengthen our squad and probably starts too!
-
I know we have criticised some of the dealings but the above is a great step forward in that nearly all of our talented youngsters have been loaned to get game time which is a big step forward - a number of the above could be saleable or squad assets depending upon which division we are in - great work by the loan team!!
-
But on £10m a year on wages
-
They are both bang average - different strengths but Iversen is not great either
-
Or Vince Hilaire
-
He would make a great signing for a Saudi club - top top Belgian international centre half in his prime - come on you know you want to Saudis put in a cheeky £40m offer and you may get a bargain !!!!
-
I would snatch your hand off for DCL.- I know he has injury issues but when he is fit and has service he is different gravy - he has kept Everton up over the years and would take him over Broja or Fofana
-
I hope it’s the former as the latter part of the sentence helps us not!! if he was fit I would have been shipping him out as preseason and generally he’s way off it !
-
I will have what you have been smoking - is it expensive?
-
Never earned the money that Top Prem players earn and came up through the leagues and this is life changing money - I do not blame him as he has put his family and their future instead of his footballing career - he is a good guy and he deserves this security - pity he leaves the prem but at least it weakens BFC!
-
I thought you were being serious until the second part of your sentence - half decent - never
