  1. The Curve falling to bits - or bits falling off. It's only been up 5 bloody minutes. Council, ie you and me, will need to foot the repair bill as original company has gone out of business - perhaps not surprisingly.
  2. toob - anyone switched to it? Further to my post a little further up, I've had another flyer through the door, this time for toob Unlike the others I've received, this one is really tempting: Competitive pricing. No prices increases during contract. Excellent speeds, both advertised and reported - including uploads. Loads of positive reviews online. Free install ect. If in contract with another provider, they'll pay upto 9 months* of this if you sign over. *max £200 odd quid. It makes use of the CityFibre network. One potential downside is; you dont have a unique ip address - it is potentially shared with your neighbours. However, this wouldn't affect/matter to most users. In anycase, you can pay extra each month for a individual ip address if so desired.
  3. I understand this will be on the players shirts on Saturday. On the back of the shirt will be details on how to contact LCFC sponsership dep't.
  4. Some good news re public transport in Leicester.
  5. Never used Twitter nor FaceBook, so I may be way off here. This new platform, Blue Sky, appears to be a breath of fresh air to social media users and expanding fast. However, won't it just be dragged down to the mean and we'll see Twitter levels of objectionable use, by the very people who join it?
  6. Enjoying the 'dull men' James May's latest show.
  7. Our electric iron does this when you let go of it....... VID-20241115-WA0002.mp4
  8. Looks like our decision to quit after the first episode of s2 ep1 was correct.
  9. He has made his feelings clear to the other parties in this farce. We'll see what happens. Yes, @FoyleFox, the potential consequncies of aborting this sale are in his mind. Hence his reticence. Thanks for the replies folks.
  10. I love it when you tee-off sweetly and see the ball heading straight down the middle and well on its way to the green. A truly marvellous feeling. I've managed it once.
  11. My son is in the process of selling his house. I've moved several times in my life and know that it is often less than straight forward buying and selling in this country, but his 'sale' is taking it to a new level. He's been messed about by the buyers solicitor so much, I suggested he pulls out the sale and puts it back on the market. Although tempted, he's reluctant because it isn't the buyers fault and they are as frustrated too I guess. The problem is; he'll hear nothing for weeks, then their solicitor asks for some further info on previous alteration work, which they get and accept. Weeks will go by and then they'll ask for some further unrelated info. Instead of asking for it all in a prompt manner, it's in dribs and drabs. Has anybody here pulled out of a sale that seems to be stuck on 75% complete because the other party are pi$$ing them off?
  12. My 2yo Grandsons Fisher Price ' My First Computer', predicts we'll be relegated.
  13. Couple of oldies but goldies.
  14. Just had some offers through the door for some great broadband deals. Or so it seems. I've noticed in TV adverts for various ISPs and again on the offer I've received today that, in small print - of course, it mentions the price goes up by £3/month each April. In other words £36 a year! Add into the equation, more and more contracts are for 24 months, I think that is massive. Equally, and this is deceptive I feel, they word it in such a way as to suggest there is a £3 increase in April, implying that is the total increase and not £3 each month. I know this is just a rewording of the CPI +3.9% increase they all state now but think it can make it seem a better deal than it is.
  15. I posted something similar a while ago, though about a lot of ads in general. I find some so abstact that I haven't even got a bloody clue what's being advertised - even after several views.
  16. Tis the view now. Lots of windows on the wall where most of the mural was
  17. I binged it too, last night. I agree with you but I have to say the ending couldn't be a surprise. Although deciding to watch it, I thought if Lord Lucan had been found, it would have been all over the media and we would have known. Really felt for the victims son afterwards and the strain his single mindedness and understandable determination may have put on his own family.
  18. My second entry on this thread and although not the worst crap I've taken, it does involve faeces and it happened tonight. I was home alone and under strict instructions from Mrs. FFF not to miss a delivery that was due. Sods law, the door went just as I was cleaning myself after a good shit. This essential piece of personal hygiene could not be completed by paper alone on this occasion, and I needed to wash my hairy arse. My soapy hand was just cleaning that very area when the door bell went. Keen to avoid my wifes wrath, I panicked. My underware and trousers were quickly pulled up over my still wet arse and my unwashed hands quickly wiped on a towel. I opened the door to accept the parcel. The guy needed me to sign for it and he offered his stylus to sign his phone screen. Aware of my largely unwashed and still slightly wet hands, I asked if it was absolutely necessary. It was, he said. I scribbled quickly and gave it back to him. To make matters worse, he then held the stylus in his mouth why he put his phone away. I felt it was best not to tell him.
  19. See the match headlines now: 10 man Ipswich get first win.
  20. Couple of young lads with a 'Penny for the Guy' outside the Co-Op in Braunstone Frith. Cannot remember the last time I saw that.
  21. Mrs. FFF and our heating is a strange relationship to fathom. Colder evenings in late August and well into September, the thought process is; it's too early to have the heating on. Then into October and onwards, it's often on, even on mild days. I've just walked into the house and it's like a bloody furnace. By no stretch is it cold today. To summarise: Aug/Sept: Heating off, no matter if cold. Oct/Nov: Heating on, no matter if mild.
  22. I was on a very early visit to Bradgate Park one summer morning and just arrived at Old John. The need to go came on quite quickly so had no choice but to squat in that walled, wooded area nearby. To keep my balance, I grabbed hold of some bracken. Unfortunately, just after completing a rather loose poo, the bracken came away in my hand. To this day, I've no idea how I managed to avoid sitting back in my own shite. I can only assume I managed a super human, quick and instinctive avoiding reaction or even defied gravity for a split second which bought me valuable time.
