  1. There may be a solution and one is certainly needed. However, not knowing what this might be, shouldn't prevent individual folk raising concerns or even complaining on FT or wherever else for that matter. Our elected representatives should be the ones trying to resolve this and, listening to folks views. Incidentally, the most vociferous folk I know on the subject of too much immigration, are 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants themselves. (the aforementioned 'UK born') I find that both interesting and remarkable.
  2. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czjd7k44v2ko TB cases on the rise Thought about putting this in the, Is Leicester a dump?' thread as it is spread by peoples disgusting habits. Only yesterday, Mrs. FFF called out some fella for spitting on the steps leading into Morrisons in Glenfield. Dirty b4stard. It has happened previously, but think it needs to happen again, where an awareness campaign needs to be targeted on certain cultures in this city of ours that it is unacceptable and can put others at risk.
  3. I told you, 'I'll be back'
  4. I don't always read other folks comments to videos on YouTube itself but when I do, there seems to be liberal sprinkling of comments such as, 'Whose here in Dec 2024?' Nothing else, just that. Whats the purpose? I guess it's people just desperate for some 'Thumbs up' and comments?
  5. Matt Le Tissier at the Dell?
  6. From BBC Sport: Interestingly, it’s the third time on record (since 2003-04) a team has had 20 first-half shots without a goal in the Premier League, with all of them coming against Leicester (Liverpool in December 2015, Crystal Palace in April 2023, West Ham tonight).
  7. I find most drivers do stop at Zebra crossings, but for some reason the very worst crossing for cars not doing so in my experience, is the one on Knighton Road by the St Thomas More church and school. No idea why?
  8. Picking over the bones of many players ineptitude, lack of basics and effort, I find I'm thinking, those barstewards are on 10s of thousands/week too. It really is quite shameful.
  9. Plenty saying we need to get players in during Jan but I can't see it making much difference. Finances suggest we wont get more than 2 or 3 plus, not too much quality is available in that window. We'll also be lucky to off load many (any?) existing players because, a) they're crap and b) the ridiculous wages they're on mean they'll have no inclination to leave anyway. I cannot see us avoiding the drop back to the Championship, as a squad we are too far gone.
  10. Not necessarily annoying but I wondered why my mate was hitting speed bumps at 30mph in a 20mph zone. We even caught up with a police vehicle, at which point my mate (BMW driver btw - perhaps relevant? ) asked, 'Why's he going so slow?' I mentioned it was 20mph zone and commented he had some bottle zooming-up behind and then tailgating a copper in such circumstances. He replied he had no idea it was a 20mph zone! There's speed bumps every 50 odd yards, speed ramps too & 20mph signs on virtually every lamp post as well signs you are entering such a zone. He lives close by too, but was totally oblivious of the restrictions which have been in place about a year and were well publicised beforehand.
  11. Good omen? In our garden this afternoon.
  12. Chatting to an American earlier today, nice chap and his parting words were, 'You have a happy holiday.' I think most (all?) Americans think we all celebrate Thanksgiving?
  13. Bollocks. Here's me, been waiting at St Margarets bus station for some idea as to who might be coming.
  14. Kerbside autos? Thank goodness they are far fewer. The last street I lived on had two and their driveways and road outside their houses looked like spillage from the Torrey Canyon (younger readers may need to Google). One of them had the shear hypocrisy to give a bollocking to a couple of youngsters for chalking on the pavement too. Rather see chalk than oil and grease.
  15. I had to stop reading. It brought tears to my eyes.
  16. Lost count how many times he had me leaping out my chair with commentary like, 'He's through on goal, he must score' only for it not to be so. RIP
  17. I've no idea how to do a poll on FT but it would be interesting to know how many on here disliked SC purely for the Forest connection. Personally, I dont know a single fan who thinks that, yet pundits and even supporter groups say it played a part. I think not.
  18. The City website wanted him gone too....
  19. Might be doing Cooper a disservice here as I've only watched it once, and was angry. In his interview after the match, he basically said that if you attack, you leave yourselves open at the back. Wtf? Just let that sink in. It certainly explains why we dont seem to press too much when chasing a game and some of the bizarre and/or late substitutions he's made in many games.
  20. Might have been possible if he had been just buried, but if he was cremated.......
  21. I does get earlier and earlier doesn't it? I blame retail/commercialisation interests and the fact that, in our multicultural city, there now seems to be some festival/celebration or another, monthly. Once one is ended, lets get on with the next.
