I couldn't watch more than 30 seconds, he had an irritating grin that really pi$$ed me off. -
Worse performance you have seen

Worst performance? The way things are going, I think we still have the poorest performance ever, still to come. -
Carbon paper. Edit: Just Googled, you can still buy it.

Where we grew up, we called the cupboard under the stairs The Dark Hole. Apart from the electricity meter, the 'Hoover' was kept in there, my Dad's golf clubs and loads of knitting yarn, or 'wool' as we called it. I wondered if Dark Hole was a Leicester saying, but chatting to some friends and colleagues, very few had heard the expression.

My Mam would ask the conductor if he had a spare ticket roll. Often they had one that was mostly used and give it to me. I would then play 'buses' at home. Joy. Simple pleasures.

Anybody still have an 'Airing cupboard'? The days of an hot water cylinder with shelves around are long gone but I guess some boilers might provide something similar?

My Mam worked at Corahs during the 1940s. Like yours, she had fond memories of working there. One story she told me was when she was asked to model some nylon stockings, the type with the seam running up the back, for the senior management. The board had asked for one of the girls with nice legs and my Mam was chosen. She was then asked to walk on, and along, the board room table - fully clothed I hasten to add, so they could determine if they looked good.

Lad on the left forgot to take the comb out his hair.

Wasn't one of the first things Dean Smith did, was to get the players to fetch and carry their own meals in the Seagrave canteen - sorry, restaurant? Now, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them not only have their meals bought to them and empty plates taken away, but they are literally spoon fed in-between.

See you in the Championship my Geordie friends

It's a start. I bet an awful lot of folk aren't going to get their takeaways delivered tonight.

Watching the Beatles 64 doc and, as a consequence, the original Maysles film of the Beatles first US tour, it was interesting to note the 4 individual members and how they were on that tour. Paul was largely as you expect and how he remained throughout the 60s, and now even. Level headed and so on. John, who was later the clown and the outspoken one, was quite subdued in comparison. Also, he featured far less in the non concert footage. Possibly as he would have had his then wife Cynthia present. George, clowning around and thoroughly enjoying himself. Interestingly however, he became the first to really tire of touring/being mobbed/screaming that they received every where. Ringo, like George, really enjoying it and having a good laugh.

The Mint/Very good condition is a major point to consider. I used to subscribe to Record Collector magazine, (is that still published?) and they published a table of prices for Mint, Very good, good, ect records. I can't remember the exact details now but the drop off in value, depending on condition, was massive. For example, a mint copy of an album would fetch say, £500. The same album in very good condition would be around £80. Good £30, and so on. Also, mint condition equated to unopened basically.

'Whoever the manager is, the club appears to be drifting – quietly – towards another Championship return.' Good, accurate article though I would auggest there is nothing too quiet about it on these boards at least. This article also reminds us that Top and Whelen haven't responded to press requests for interviews since 2015/16. This is curious. We were on Premier league champions and the next few seasons were very good too - indeed magnificent compared to the last 3 seasons. You would think they would have been shouting from the rooftops?

TVs I've been looking at, tend to have 6 year warranties at Richer Sound or 5 at John Lewis. However, I've noticed brands like Hisense only have 2 years at RS. There's a reason for that - reliability. Of course there are exceptions where you can be lucky/unlucky with any brand but on balance, I would suggest Sony, higher end Panasonics and some Samsung sets. My only qualification for saying this is research, including talking to folk in the trade and the fact in just over 40 years, I've had just 3 TVs.

Why concurrent and not consecutive terms for each offence? I know it's unlikely he'll be released in any case, but each of those child murders ought to have an individual sentence I believe and run consecutively. Edit: To answer my own question: I guess it is possible that if he should die within 52 years, it could be argued he didn't serve any punishment for the other crimes, hence the concurrent decision?

I take it he told you to feck off when you asked for an autograph?

Man U ended their bad run, albeit temporarily, against us. So did Man C. So it follows.......

I wonder if the company who arranged 300 drones to spell this out, could be hired? Need to be night match of course.

I would say Richer Sound or John Lewis, both offer excellent warranties and customer service, in my opinion. Just a thought on your existing TV: If it is still in good order but the apps are no longer supported - as is the case with our TV, just add a firestick. Doing this bought my still excellent TV, bang up to date. There is, of course, Freely TV available. Perhaps best get a TV with that included. It is possible, even probable, that eventually all TV will be delivered by Internet and not an aerial and/or satellite.

I asked the very same thing earlier this week My very first attempt at doing the 'Pools' was in 1980. I studied the form tables and made my score draw predictions I got 8 correct. This is easy, I thought, and waited for my cheque to arrive. It was a postal order - for 65p! Turns out there were loads of draws that week which, of course, meant no million pound payout. Myself, along with my Dad and brother, did have one biggish win approx 5 years later. That was just over £800 betweens us. My share paid for my driving lessons.

Thanks to the free Apple TV weekend a week or two ago, I watched Slow Horses and thought it was good. Is the standard kept up for series 2, 3 & 4?
